This seems to be a common problem has anyone discovered a way around this?
When you have a controller on quad 1, the headset wont sync to it.
I can get it to sync with a controller in quadrant 2 if i log in 2 controllers. But I need it on 1.
Any info?

will have a think back when i get home for ya
I remember reading about this. It seemed to be a problem if you were using an old 360 wireless controller. I think the guy finally fixed it by getting a new wireless controller.
There's a youtube video of it and MS acknowledged it as a problem.
I say this but mines just started doing the same and I know that it's a newer model controller, but then this started happening after the mic decided not to charge anymore anyway, so mic was already bu88ered.
I have a xbox elite so its not old, I went out and bought another headset yesterday and its doing the same thing.
I wonder if something on the same bandwidth has someone bonded to the xbox, it runs on 5.4ghz i think, so do routers and things like that.

i had the same problem with my original wireless pad that came with my premium years ago.
called microsoft and they sent me a free replacement wireless pad, no problems with that pad
there was a vid on youtube when i had the problem, showing it was the wireless pad that caused the prob
