NFS is truly awful. The whole series is a mess nowadays.

What i dont understand is why do EA insist on using such a bad graphics engine with it considering they own Criterion who make the Burnout games. They could use that engine and make a far more polish game.

Its typical EA lazyness but it always sell no matter how xxxx it is.

The graphics are good, yep the frame rate sucks at times but the game is very similar to burnout paradise, if it was anymore similar then there would be no point in buying it. Some of the traffic cars are exactly the same as burnout paradise.

In this day and age we need games with a little imagination not the same old simms where you just race, race, race, race.

That's boring! While I can appreciate the effort that goes into making a game realistic, how much life does it have?

I have Forza 2 and GT5P - neither of which kept me occupied for long and I'm just so glad I didnt pay full price for them.

Pretty graphics, nice driving, nothing else.

Did i actually mention realism at all?

Poorly programmed games, NFS is prime for it really shouldnt happen now.
Especially with the high quality titles coming out now on the 360 etc.

Its dull, generic, looks crap, choppy framerate, awful over the top cut scenes.

Typical Need for Speed. EA have killed the series. It used to be fantastic.

Ok, I played Pro Street last night and compared to Carbon it is crap tbh. Mainly because unlike Carbon it lacks any form of sub plot etc.

I did enjoy the 1/4 drag racing though

Pro was bad.

I just think EA need to focus more on the game rather than the ott presentation. The cars look so bad. It needs toning down. The original undeground was the best of the modern series IMO. Nice mix of drifting, racing and 1/4 miles.

Undercover has been panned across the board, Pro Street pretty much got the same. Carbon was about the last OK title in the series.

The graphics on Pro Street seem so have gone backwards from Carbon?

Never played any of them prior to the 360. Have to say despite it's flaws i've kept going back to pro street and will do so until i've finished it. Also, unlike carbon there's shed loads of gamer points on offer. Got 50 just for getting round the track without crashing.

The Need for Speed was amazing. Real open road racing with exotic cars. Handled really well and looked great. For its time it was one of the best racers around and apart from the looks its still good today.

The second wasnt bad but on PS1 it had awful graphics. PC was a little better. Handled ok but had odd cars and track.

NFS3 Hop Pursuit was a return to form. Introduced the cop element and had some good track and excellent cars. It was more arcadey than before but stll had sim controls as an option. Pity you never played it Matt as i think you would have loved it.

NFS4 was also good. But again the PC was far better as crap console graphics.

You tube them mate!

No point dwelling in the past #-o

Pro Street is lacking a lot compared to Carbon, it's just like a racing sim without the realism really. I think it's tried to be something it's not and failed.

At least the new one seems to have gone back to having a bit of a background plot to it.

Also just like to see, the video clips of Pro Street make the graphics look a whole lot better than they actually are!
