I have got a 7" DVD player in my car. It can play DivX and MP3 files.

Does anyone know of any software that play MP3 files and save them as avi files with visual effects added?

For example, I'd like to play music in the car but have something like a spectrum anaylser running on the screen (i.e. premade avi file)

hugely late with an answer but Movie Maker within XP / Vista can take music tracks and add them to video tracks. Dunno what size of file you'd end up with but it would certainly mix them for you

Hi Allan, thanks for the reply.

What I want to do is create a avi that displays graphically the music - similar to what Media Player shows when it plays music. If I use a screen capture program to record the screen while using Media Player, it can't grab the frame's fast enough to replay as a AVI file.
