Guitar hero world tour faulty drums

Post by oukie »

 After only my second go on drums I noticed Im having to hit a very small area of orange symbol for it to work  Looked online and it seems this is a pretty common fault.  .

I pre-ordered this with play months ago and got it on release day Ive found out that it seems to be the early ones made that have faults.

There seems to be a fix that you can adjust the sensitivity of drums with but Im just so feeked off this the second time ive spent GBP 150 on a poxy game for it to be sub standard equipment. My best mate's is fine but another mate of mine was also faulty it was him that told me of fix but Im thinking of phoneing play and asking for a complete new set as they are not fit for perpose intended yada yada,
Mk1b White T-bar SC 1987, Mk1b White coupe Jan90, Mk1b White coupe Jan90 (spares), Mk1b Mica blue T-bar Mar90, Mk1b Mica blue T-bar,full climate control,Jan90, 5 mk1's :)

i dont have problems with the pads not being sensitive enough, but my yellow plays its self if u hit the red slightly too hard.
if u ring activision they will send u a midi-usb adapter for the pc so u can adjust the sensitivity gotta ring em soon my self

Sounds ominous.

Still no sign of standalone drum kit being available either.

Can you guys confirm if the Rock Band drums work on it ok?

They do, although as you've got one pad less you only have 4 drums + kick pedal to hit rather than 5 + pedal.

It may be the only option though as I see no sign what so ever of standalone GHWT drums.

I get the feeling they're all but forcing people to buy the £150 band or tough xxxx.

A lot of the achievements on the 360 are based on the band too, too many IMO, another way to force your decision.

Thing is, I dont want another guitar or a microphone. I just want the drums.

Right I have sent off for a leed and I am downloading the how-to as I type this (thanks H3RB) :thumleft: .

This is seemingly VERY common play.com told me they,ve had loads of phone calls reguarding sensitivity issues.

is all this stuff not covered by warranty???

it's just triggers (i am ah drummer and use triggers on my kick drums), so essentially you could make your own drumkit for the game, if you had the time and know how, there should really be a setting to adjust the sensitivity built into this!!!

apparently the rock band kit is much sturdier but i think any real drummer who knows how to hit correctly will smash this up in about two seconds, personnally i'd f*ck it up big time!!!!

my drums!!

I count at least 15 things you can hit to make noise.
