i think the reason we dont have a browser is because live is a closed network. MS wanted to avoid the dangers of viruses and stuff.

There also pretty adamant its not a pc and dont want the 2 confusing.

Not sure if thats the case but thats why we havent had one before.

I like the avatars. You only make it once and the game related clothing and items wil b kewl.

I want my avatar to hav a chainsaw bayonet from gears.

but there is a browser, you just need media center to use it.

it's like MS enkoy making things a pain in the ars3 to do!!

the MCE broswer is fine for checking emails, coming on imoc and stuff.

As a thank to those who applied to the NXE preview program, Microsoft has decided to roll out the New Xbox Experience user interface for these users. The company also sent this press release to remind everyone that the New Xbox Experience launches tomorrow:

i didnt realise you would be able to start downloads from xbox.com on your PC now. thats pretty sweet. sat at work when a new demo comes out and i can have it ready for when im home.

i didnt realise you would be able to start downloads from xbox.com on your PC now. thats pretty sweet. sat at work when a new demo comes out and i can have it ready for when im home.

How does it do it if your xbox isnt switched on?

it can kinda do it now.

if you start a demo downloading and turn your xbox off then it only powers down the stuff it doesn't need and will finish your downloads.

handy feature.

im guessing they can "wake" your xbox and start the download in a similar way.

i have the preview version of the nxe but i just turned my xbox on and it says that there is a system update avaliable for the 360 so i press aceept and it starts downloading but fails, does this everytime i sign in.

it all changes tomorrow, the update should'nt be available, strange.

The update has been leaked onto torrent sites so Im guessing its only modded people that have it for now..

ms did a preview program where so many members got to try it 3 weeks early, i was one of the "testers" so thats y i have the dash early

Herb did you get banned? alot of people who applied the update before the release date were banned.

I didnt want to update at all, but during a xbox link night on Fri somone did the update thinking it was the GOW2 update so I had no choice LOL.

Avatars - super g@y, has turned it into a childs console now.
I like the other features and the overall layout mind. Movies folder list view is better.

I gotta say, I being a sony whore liked the old 360 set up it was very well laid out and easy to use but now we downloaded it last night for the GF's 360 and what utter poop and it blocks out most of the screensavers etc that she has bought with MS points etc.
