My Rev 2 T-bar Turbo

Post by Nails »

I've been out and taken a few pictures today, and I'm starting to get the car how I want now.

I bought the car with a lot of the stuff on but I've still been busy with it for a while improving and fixing.

Since purchase Ive fitted a decat, uprated intercooler, new rad, new pads all round, 2 recon front calipers, reconded the rears myself, a full service, had no end of bother with some HT leads which are supposed to be OEM quality, but clearly are not from a reputable company on here.

I also removed the aircon rad and the pump, machine polished the whole car to get rid of oxidiation and swirls, and used the cling film trick to stop the roof leaking.

Set of 4 new tyres, new flexi for the exhaust, fitted a new boost gauge and a piller gauge holder, fitted a stephs delimiter, removed a toms scoop and fitted new better number plates.

Bent the rear grill up, repainted the wiper arms, scuttle panel and rear centre panel black instead of faded grey, and polished the rear exhaust can.

Still got a lot more I'd like to do but since Im on buying a new house which needs a lot of work (plastering, plumbing, heating, new bathroom, new kitchen, rewiring, landscaping front and rear, new roof etc) the '2 will have to be put on hold.

I might see if I can fit re painting the wheels in though, I'd quite like them dark met grey, same colour as the bumpstrips, white is too much to keep clean.

Anyone have any idea what make the front strut brace is?

Yeah it was a worry when I bought it like that, infact it put me off buying it for about a week, then I just went and looked at it and liked the rest so I bought it and worried for a while but Ive caught the bottom of it on different road gradients etc and it must be bonded really well as its still holding up well
