Call of duty question...

Post by Rhiannan »

I'm thinking of buying a call of duty for Mr R to play on the wii. He really enjoyed resident evil 4 and completed it today :thumleft:

I've already bought him resident evil - umbrella chronicles and Zelda for his christmas but he was talking about call of duty today.

I was looking and I know the new one is just out but I've already bought him heaps so I'm not keen to spend another £40. I see Call of duty 3 is only £12, is that worth getting? Or would I be better off with 4?

I was going to get him Quantam of Solace too, anyone played that yet?

Go for 4, but 5 is out now.

If he likes Modern War eg new style / Modern guns get 4, if he likes old WW2 stuff go with 5 :)

I'm not sure if you can get 4 for the wii, I couldn't see it. You can get three though, is that worth getting?

Golden Eye on the N64, class act! The amount of hours my friends and I wasted on death matches was obscene! :)

I never played it on multiplayer.

I thought it was coming to XBL for download?

Rhiannan, I played COD 3 for about half hour then sold it to a mate. WWII isnt interesting enough any more unless it's a very very good game and it just wasnt.

COD 4 was brilliant but short but the online multiplayer makes up for that.

But as you say, looking at Play and HMV, COD 4 doesnt seem to exist for the Wii which is odd?

How do the Wii versions of 3 & 5 compare to the 360 & Ps3 versions?

unless the wii has online multiplayer (im not too clued up on the wii's tbh) im not sure i'd look at cod5... its awfully short and only saved by its mp (albeit in a very bugged sense on the ps3 at least)

COD3 doesnt have multiplayer on the Wii but COD5 does. I'd spend the extra and get COD5, its only £29 on zavvi.

I've heard a few people say it's short :? that concerns me a little, if it is fairly short then I'll just get it rented and he can complete it in a couple of weeks.
Perhaps I should go for the James bond Quantam of Solace game!! I'm all confused ](*,)

Or should I get both.....but then I've just spent another £60 where I've already spent a small fortune on him and he is going to feel guilty because I've bought him heaps more then he can afford to buy me #-o I can't win :(

Lol, days not weeks.

I completed COD 4 I think in 4 evenings after work, very poor in that department. While the missions were fun and beautiful to look at and very realistic, there just wasnt many of them and before I knew it, it was done.

the cod games are amazingly short on the easy settings but why bother playing on those?? veteran is by far the best way to play so much more of a challenge

There's a thin line between a challenge and launching the control pad at the tv.

I played it on the medium setting when I played it.

A feature I liked about Bioshock was that you could change the difficulty mid game so if you got REALLY stuck you could just knock it down one to get past that bit.

Never known another game like that tbh.
