Been sat here since 11.30am waiting for GT5 to install and then subsequently perform an update. Sorry, but that's an absolute joke! I only wanted a quick game to waste some time. Btw, it's still performing the update as i type.

The updates do take way to long on the PS3, i keep thinking of plugging in a network cable to try and speed things up.

Still not finished! Is it due to the wireless connection it takes this long then? I have the router sat behind it so could always revert to wired connection. I only wanted to play for half hour or so. I keep thinking it's finnished then see the amber light flash again

If its sat behind it put an ethernet cable in. Its always going to be faster and more reliable using cable.

ok ill explain it for ya lol.

when ever i talk to people about the whole 360 vs ps3 thing they always say the PS3 is the better console because it has the cell.

they dont take into account the games, online service or anything else.

so i was messing around saying it doesnt matter its taken over 2 hours to start the game cos you have the cell!

Dont know what the big deal is with the PS3 processor played on a mates a while back - GTA4 is just as comparable as the 360 version and the HD dosnt make a jot of difference. It still slowed down when everything got out of hand. My god did it take a long time to load too.

They then say ...

Buts is got Blu Ray!!!!111!!!!!1111!

BIG DEAL! Truth is the only people who care about Blu Ray still live at home with their parents.

i hate the ps3 it really is a pants consol games wise i never use it for games cos i csn never have a quick game theres always something wrong or a update needed

Whats wrong with still living at home with the parents? If you want blu-ray a PS3 is the best option, not that ive brought a single blu-ray dvd yet.

Does seem an excessively long time to install mate.

GT5:P initial install should take about 30 mins then the updates about another 30-45 mins. Wire in the ethernet cable as well and give it a static IP address. Dont bother with wireless if you dont have too.....

sidenote:
I didnt realise trophies were now in GT5:P. I ve been playing GT4 recently since I completed 5 so havnt loaded it for a while...

Have to say, it's quite addictive. I played 3 hours without batting an eyelid. Pretty small game though. Done class c and b already, only a to go and then what?

completing all classes open up S class. that should take you a little while to complete....some of the races are a little tricky.

You should upgrade from dialup, broadband packages are quite cheap nowadays :p

Unless you want to add something why do you even bother replying? We all know you've got a chip on your shoulder about the PS3, but it's a bit lame trying to draw attention to every comment someone has against it.
