Airfield activity day at North Wield 30th October now with pictures

Me a couple of friends have arranged an air field activity day with Car limits on north wield air field. I have done one of their days before in my mr2 and its great fun.
The morning is a little instruction and practicing taking a high-speed bend. Then the later morning is a bit of driving round some conned circuits and in the afternoon there are a few timed runs around the conned circuits.
You don’t have to worry about hitting anything as only one car is on track at a time, you don’t have to worry about noise limits as it’s a airfield not a track. You also are not required to wear a crash hemet.
There are about 20 places in total many of them are still left.

damn, thought with the word North in the name it would be near me, I was a little wrong, turns out its almost 400 miles from me

It was a truely awesome day for the money, Basically the morning was spent doing a "high speed corner", i.e. Hoon as fast as possible towards a cone, hang a left and don't go over the grating of a drain which represents The Wall.

Afternoon they had set up 2 courses and you could float between the 2, timed on both and they would try and give you pointers on where you are going wrong.

I went with an MX5 club and the club had an awesome photographer there also, Would suggest it as you won't get any pics like these otherwise:

I done the north weald airfield day back in Auguest in the MR2. The high speed bend was excellent, managed 68mph in the damp. Tried it at just over 70 and just spun but great fun though. The circuit I enjoyed doing was the one on the main airfield, it was great trying to get off full lock when going round the cones and not spinning. Im booked in for the 14th November again and for 38quid you cant go wrong.

It was a very good day indeed. The weather held off and I finished 3rd in the top speen bend. The problem is that I really want a Lotus Elise now as they were amazing on the handling courses.
