As the title really, i'm not the most technical person on the planet, but having diagnosed

(via the forum of course) that my thermostat wasn't working properly i've this morning replaced the thermostat and bled the coolant.

My problem was that the car was taking an age to get up to temperature, someone on here said it sounded like the thermostat was stuck open.

So i ordered a new one, looked at lots of documents on here and this morning got stuck in.

I started at about half nine and by half ten i actually had the new thermostat fitted!

Then it was just a case of a trip to B&Q

(in another car!) to get some piping to put on the bleed valves in the front to carry out the proper addition of the coolant which i lost.

The old thermostat that i took out was clearly fubar'd, as the new one was all tight and closed, the old one was loose and hanging almost in pieces!

I just want to get out now and give it a road test just have to wait for a shower engineer to come first!

James.
