Sorry to thread hijack but are there regulations on modifications etc in the TSS? I'm looking to get into it this season and want to get my car ready, get some practice in etc :thumleft: but dont want to go spending money on my car that will make it ineligible!

Just bought a 6-point rollcage but if it was ever FIA approved it would be out of date as it's over 5 years old (assuming cages expire like harness's and seats?) so does that mean it'll be no good?

Regs are here:

There's not much restriction on what you can do. Your cage will be fine for TSS (even having a cage is more than most have), can't speak for MSA

You don't need to enter for the full championship series on the TSS events.

For instance Jo entered into the full series and I only enter the rounds I know I am going to be available which has turned out to be nearly all of them.

Unfortunately I can't stand for championship points, but can win trophies for specific rounds.

The next one is going to be an interesting night event at Teeside. I've never competed in the dark before so it could be... erm... interesting... :eye:

thought you had to register for the whole series at the start of the year, as places are limited if i couldn't guarantee making it to more than half of them i'd rather let someone else who could sign up

Whilst places are limited I don't think there's been a single round which has been run at capacity this season so getting in as a reserve has been no problem.

yeah i just entered the one at woodbridge, as i found out about the series a bit late  but had a great time,

Unfortunatly i'm not going to make it to teeside, although it sounds like it's gonna be a good one! but i'll be sure to make it back next year for a few events at least

Well worth a go i say :thumleft:

thats a shame rob- you did very well at woodbridge! especially considering it was your first event.

i'll see you in 2009, as even if i can't afford to compete i'll plan some spectating trips anyway 8)
