Help, I need a sprayer.

Post by Spellbinder »

Hi... Can anyone point me in the direction of a good sprayer in the Cardiff area?... My MK1 MR2 has been the victim of vandals. They have covered the paintwork in some sort of paint stripper  and I am having a nightmare trying to get someone to treat and spray it... I really don't want to sell her for spares and would appreciate any help at all... ........Thanks guys

I am looking for a garage to spray my car instead. But if the paint stripper has gone close to the metal, get it sprayed asap, at least with rattle cans for now.

Hi m8,

I live in Cardiff also and had a full respray on my mk1 about 16 months ago. I'd recommend the guy who did mine, he'd do a very good job and is very cheap. He's already had practice on mine neway so he'd be up for doing it i woulda thought, you can have a look at my car and see what you think of his work neway, pm me if you want more details...

that's just pure evil
when we had our first mk1 some little vandals popped our bonnet badge and a few weeks later, some more little vandals (probably the same ones) came along and scratched the letters "mr2" into the bonnet.

good luck with your repairs :thumleft:

Hiya Sid,
Could you possibly tell me where you got your respray done... still not found anyone willing to do it apart from a trainee sprayer.. .. she is looking in a pretty sorry state at the moment and I really want to get the spray done and get her back on the road.... engine is still good and starts first time even though she's been standing for almost a year. Just gonna need new brakes and windscreen wipers for the MOT.
Cheers for the help.
