[Mk2] [Turbo] Pics of 235/40/17 on 9" rims?

Right, currently I have Wolfrace 17x7 rears with pretty much brand new 235/40/17 tyres fitted. I am wanting to fit these 235/40 to my new 9x17" Advans, so i don't have to fork out for new tyres.

Wear the 235/40/17 tyres down, then change to 245/35/17 tyres.

Question is, has anybody got pics of 235/40/17 tyres fitted to a 9x17" wheel?

tyre would be too narrow.

I've had 225/35/18 on a 8.5" wheel and they're too narrow. You'll be needing 245 min on them I'd think.

255's on 9" but 235's would be ok just a little stretched, keep away from those curbs

235's will fit they just may look a little streched but nothing wrong with that. I just upgraded my wheels i went from 17x7 with 205/40/17 and 17x8 with 245/40/17 and im now running 17x8 up front (205/40/17) and 17x8 rear (245/40/17) the tyres swapped over no probs allthough next time i buy front tyres ill get 215's as the fronts are a tad streched...

Id put the 235's on if i was you mate and then upgrade to a wider tyre when you wear them out

Yeah, I reckon they'll be ok, just can't see the point of chucking away some brand new tyres and buying more when I can wear these out and put 245/35's on next time round.

I've got 235/45x17 on my 9" wide Advan. Looks fine, not stretched at all. Will get pics tomorrow

I have a 245" 35" on a 9.5" rim! no problem! streatch look, looks great imo, handles well too!

will fit no problem, just streatched thats all!

cheers dai, they look fine! Will it make much diff between a 40 and a 45 profile as mine are 235/40/17 and yours are 235/45/17?
