Finally getting a 360, what's your Top 5 please

Hi All,

Bit behind the times, but as my Intellivisions finally bit the dust I think it's time to upgrade...no more B17 bomber

Just got a T-mobile Touch with free Xbox elite coming in a couple of weeks.

Halo 3 is first choice...just because...although I've heard it's too short.

Any other recommendations please.

Fave sorta games are flying ones i.e dogfights, x-wing series (PC), space combat or anything full on. Hate sports, esp football, and Lara croft sorta searching round for ever games, but Assasins Creed is another on the list. Not sure about GTA as I've finished (100%) all the others and haven't got a few spare months.

Whats your top 5 please!!

I've gone for six as I can't imagine doing without any of them. All are the absolute pinnacles of their genre and must be owned.

I'll detract a little, some of the older less impressive games have given me the most fun. One of which was FEAR and there's a sequel coming out shortly called Project Origin which looks great too.
Also enjoyed one called Prey, bit basic in looks but loved the story line and wierdness of it.

Coming soon is some big game action too.

Last thing i read which was actually before the game was announced (although it has always been known it was to be a series) was that it would be a prequel and tell the story of rapture and what went wrong to make it how it was in bioshock 1.

Think I'll be getting Gears Of War as my second buy and the Assassins Creed next so I don't do the 1st person shoot'em up overload.

Whay toys/upgrades would you go for as well, bearing in mind it's an elite?

Had my xbox since they came out but never used it online.

Won a Tekken 3 (best fighting game ever for playability) championship back in Israel about 10 or so years ago and can't wait to take on the rest of the world online. Used to have alot of mates over and they'd spend all night trying to knock me off the playstation and might beat me once or twice between them in 6-8 hours.

Good effort mate - nice to find there are still some people mout there who appreciate beat em ups!

Soul Calibur 4 has just come out and is phenomenal - so deep and tactical when played multiplayer. Its by Namco, the same developer who do the Tekken series,

IMO Tekken went off the boil after Tekken 4 but Soul Calibur has just been getting better and better.

The latest one is a must. I'll have to give you a few bouts if you get it, though I am not on Xbox live yet...

Other than that people have ciovered most of the best games out there.

As an asside I wouldn't recommend Bioshock though. I have just bought it and it is utterly tedious, despite the good graphics. The gameplay is repetetive and the control system gives no finesse. It actually reminds me of Duke Nukem 3D from about ten years ago but with the addition of a vertical axis. Very dated. Just my opinion though and obviously others think differently.

duke nukem 3d is out or coming out on the arcade with online multiplayer.

think ill have to give that a try. i want banjo kazooie when thats up for download too.

Bioshock is all about the story, the atmosphere, the scenery and the puzzles etc.

I didnt even pay attention to the game play, I just kept playing and playing cause I wanted to know what would happen next

Couldn't dissagree more mate. Bioshock is an excellent game!...and I've played just about every FPS out there!
