Rev5 radio/cass pinouts vs 1995 single cd unit pinouts??

Post by rsevo6 »

Hi,

I have a OE single DIN Toyota Radio cassette in my '99 Rev 5, it has a square female connector opening at the back for a CD player.

I bought myself a used OE single DIN Toyota CD player (was supposed to come out of a MR2), on the sticker it says Manufacturing date is 1995.

I thought this would be a simple plugin, however the CD's connector is a small round (DIN like) male plug.

The dealer says there isn't a connector for it and can't or won't give me the wire pinouts of RC and CD to make a connector myself.
Anyone ??

Are you saying that the original toyota CD player has a mini DIN plug?

The wiring diagram here does not mention that, put perhaps it will help.

There is a short cable that connects from the cd player to a compatible head unit. My multichanger controller was like this too. t should be clear from the diagram in the bgb.
