Mike I must admit I'm surprised how much higher your score is in 3DMark, I know the 4870x2 is meant to be better than the GTX280 but not by that much surely.

Must OC my CPU and run it again, maybe its the bottleneck

Have you got Warhead yet? I just lost my weekend completing it, finished it at 11:45 last night :oldtongue:

Well in an attempt to up my score last night I tried OC'ing my processor, all was going well, set the voltages up, started to incrementally increase the FSB, but I couldnt get past 3150mhz.

Tried to go past a couple of times and the system would just freeze, the third time it froze, I rebooted, and it wouldnt go into the BIOS #-o

Booted back into windows and it was throwing a blue screen, rebooted again, got back into windows and it just froze.

Had to hard reset the BIOS using the jumper, it still wasnt stable, so uninstalled all the Nvidia drivers for the motherboard, rebooted, reinstalled them and touch wood it has been ok.

For a couple of hours I thought I'd borked something

well i switched mine on this morning and it had remembered the crossfire settings, ran the test at 13500, still seems a little low :-k it's only recognising 3gb of ram but i remember reading that 32bit vista only recognises a max of 3gb, which is weird as in my pc properties it says 4gb #-o

Yeah it was a bit nailbiting there for a second, as for my score I got 19186 :clown: :oldtongue:

What settings are you using to get 3400mhz on your Q9550?

I think I may have given the core too much voltage, but I dunno, the last time I overclocked a CPU it was a 166MMX overclocked to the heady heights of 187.5mhz, and that was back in the days of setting FSB and Multipliers using jumpers :P
