[Mk2] [Turbo] Possible come back to the scene

Post by Wade »

Hello guys,

Well ive been having serious withdrawal symptoms ever since I sold my rev3 tubby! Ive currently got my eyes on a white rev4 from WRC car sales in Bradford. Only thing being I phoned them today to ask about the car but it has no service history (ok i can let that one go) and no auction grading sheet? Has anyone had any experiences with WRC?

Car currently being sold by WRC http://www.wrc-sales.co.uk/bradford/index.php?mf=1&p=2

This brings me to ask on you guys for your advice.

Thanks,

Wade

Didn't think imports would have a service history.

Yes they do, but it's in Japanese of course so of limited value.

Hello Rowland hope your well mate!

To be honest what puts me off is the idea of it having no grading sheet, or am i being to paranoid here?

Looks like a good example with great mods.

When you rang them did you ask for their own opinion on the condition of the bodywork and paint? If they're honest and there are issues they might save you a trip, otherwise like buying any 2nd hand car you have to do a bit of travelling to find out which ones drive like dogs.

Surely any car purchased from Japan has a grading sheet?

Hi Wade, I'm good thanks buddy.

A grading sheet is purely one observer’s opinion on the bodywork and interior of the car.
It's not really rocket science and nothing that you me, you or any car enthusiast couldn't do. It's merely an unbiased report.
In theory I could go round my own car and outline imperfections and deduct them from a maximum score of 5.
If I were you I wouldn't let that put me off. I'd be further inclined to use this to your advantage as a bargaining point with the dealer.

If you decide to go up and view the car, you'll be the one assessing it and subconsciously giving it a 'grading' as such to determine whether it's worth the asking price.

Just my opinion, sure looks like a nice car with some tasty modifications.

That is gorgeous, shame it’s not a t-bar or I would be interested.
Don’t let it put you off, go and have a look. After all documents can be faked, so don’t let that rule to your decision.

Paper work always seems to get lost in the import procedure. I got my auction sheet 4 months after having a car on the uk roads as it had grown legs and gone for a little walk.
