I intend keeping the group going through Inverness but will be stopping for fuel at the BP filling station as we cut off the A9 heading for the A82 and Loch Ness. If i remember rightly this is across from halfords. Maybe you could meet us here but we can arrange when I call you.
...yip that's the garage I normally fuel up at. It's about 200m further on from Halfords, on the left hand side. I can meet you there easy if you like.

Okay Richard will give you a shout when we leave Aviemore. As i said expect to be in Inverness at 12 latest and will meet you at that filling station.

All the group are fed and watered and off to bed.

Alan - go careful as you come up tomorrow.

Scence of skye

Post by bmwbill »

:) Just got back from the trip and as you all know there was an accident involving one Mr2. Mark and Max both are OK the car is a write off but that doesn't matter it can be replaced. Mark was kept in the hospital as he had lost consciousness Max was discharged later that afternoon and traveled to Inverness with the rest of us. Having seen the photos of the aftermath of the crash we all are so glad that these guys survived with minor injuries. Max even managed to switch of the cars engine while it was upside down in the peat, Mark was unconscious at this time. A huge thank you goes out to everyone, from Allan and Andy who managed to stop the traffic coming in both directions to Carl who got there first and got the door open and got both of them out in fact everyone did there bit.
Shane, Susan and marks partner stayed with Mark at the Hospital.
This last bit comes from Max he would like all to know this was not Marks or anyone's fault.

Apart from the accident, the weekend was absolutely fantastic! We've never laughed so much.

I've just got home to Milton Keynes at 2215. Knackered so am going to bed but will post up some pics and that later on in the week.

Shane, thanks very much for organising another great weekend! Don't blame yourself for what happened, its one of those things. We do now have un finished business with Apple cross pass! And I think I speak for everyone that we are all looking forward to next years trip to beat apple cross.

Got back at 5pm today, 1070 mile round trip, good run out for the Roadster. I have Max and Sasha here tonight breaking up their journey home. Max is doing great and has just finished a 3 couse meal of pizza ( 3 flavours ) sweet and sour chicken and southern fried chicken.

Amazing trip, one of the very best, Shane and Susan as usual did a superb job in the organising and execution of the run, fantastic!

Like Pete said, we have unfinished business to attend to in Scotland so look out for the Applecross Run 2009.

Just had word from uncle Jinx, they are staying in Skye and are coming back at the weekend, lucky bar stewards, shows what a good run this is, people just don't want to see it end!

See you all son guys.

Absolutely fantastic trip - 1350 miles of pure driving pleasure and I understand the scenery was nice as well! A job well done Shane and Susan  Your attention to detail and and superb execution will become legendary.
Please book us on next years trip to finish what we started.

A special thankyou goes to everyone who assisted on Sunday - if I had to pick a team to help me out of a jam - you'd be The Team. :thumleft:

Our very best wishes go to Mark and Christina and Max and Sasha xx

To the rest of you a nice big  You really make it a special trip...

Scenery looks stunning! And I dont mean Jinxy's rear end =;
If you can't see the angle, you're in trouble.
