1992 REV2 G-Limited T-Bar for sale - FINAL PRICE REDUCTION £1500

Post by ormzy »

The time has come for me to sell up, as i need a more practical car. I bought the car a year and a half ago off my bro-in law, who went to the dark side and got himself a tubby. He had owned it a few years himself, so i have a lot of history with this car.It has never let me down in all the time i've owned it. She had 130,700 klms when i bought it, she now has 150,000klms which i think is about 93k miles. theres two months tax left on her and eight months mot.

I've maintained this car myself as i'm an ex-mechanic and tried to give her everything she needs.
Here is a run down on the Spec.

Toyota Mr2 G-limited Rev2 T-Bar 2.0ltr 16v

K & N induction kit

Mongoose stainless steel exhaust including de-cat

Crystal clear front indicator/side light lenses

Rev3 cloth seats

Rev3 steering wheel

Richbrook gear suround and gear knob

Refurbished alloys painted in Ford graphite grey metalic.

Green stuff pads on the rear

Pioneer CD player with 6'9' inch speakers in the cubby box's

The car drives perfect, with no knocks or rattles at all. It pulls hard, and sounds awesome with the de-cat and mongoose, and the whistle from the filter at low rpm never fails to amuse me. I've loved driving this car.
Being red, i know how sudject to paint fade they are, so i always keep a good coat of wax on her, and do a meguires 3 stage clean regulary, but finish with the gold tech wax.
Here is what i've done to her in my time-
130,700klms- front pads replaced, oil and filter(magnetec)
130,720klms- New GT tyres on rear
130,760klms- Cooling system drained, flushed and replaced with 5yr Halfords advanced.
131,300klms- Gearbox oil changed for castrol synthrax
132,300klms- New steering rack, tracking adjusted
133,500klms- Cambelt and tensioners replaced
134,864klms- Oil & Filter (magnetec)
135,743klms- Dizzy cap, rotor arm, spark plugs replaced
138,135klms- Pirelli tyres on front.
139,155klms- Oil and Filter (mobil 1)
142,380klms- Oil and Filter (mobil 1)
143,091klms- Front and rear drop-links replaced, fuel filter change
143,570klms- steering rack track rods (drumsticks)replaced. re-tracked
143,579klms- Rear discs and pads replaced (pads green stuff)
143,700klms- Alloy wheels refurbished( ford graphite grey)
145,200klms- Mongoose exhaust & de-cat fitted
145,300klms- Oil & filter change (magnetec)
148,827klms- New Alternator (due to noisy bearing)
148,930klms- oil & Filter change (mobil 1)

As you can see, she's had a fair bit done to her to keep her tip-top. The only bad points is the air con doesn't work, due to me snapping off the pulley tensioner bolt when i did the cambelt. It never bothered me having no a/c due to it having the T-bar roof, but the pulley and a new a/c belt will be with the car if it sells. Also, in really heavy rain you get a drip or two from the t-bar seal, but this is commonplace.
The car has the usuall dink or two and being red, the paintwork is not mint. But she shines up really well, and drives without fault. No problems with clutch or gearbox either. I've mainly done cruising motorway driving in her as i do a 60 mile round trip to work.

I'm looking for offers around £1700 and would love it to go to someone on here, who's gonna treat her good.

Any questions PM me, or e-mail [email protected]

Sorry Rob, knew u might get excited when you saw a reply!

Can i just say that this is one of the best looked after examples you will find, Ormzy has spent every waking minute polishing, maintaining and doing oil changes etc on my old motor. He changes the oil more often than i fill up with petrol.

You wont be disappointed, it really is a beauty.
Im sad your leaving the fold buddy :(

Free bump!

Hopefully going to take some better photo's soon, as these were the only ones i had at the time i decided to sell.
This is a clean and reliable car, and whoever buys this has miles of trouble free driving ahead. Its mechanically sound and doesn't skip a beat.

I'm open to sensible offers.

Went out today to take some better photos. As soon as i got out the car, it started to rain.
I carried on anyway, so you get a better idea of how she looks. I only have my 5mp phone camera so the photo's don't do her justice really.
As i said, it was raining a bit so on some photos, mainly the wheels, you can see rain spots. There is no imperfections.

Hear are the links.

Only wish i had a proper digital camera. Will have to ask Santa for one.

She's in very good condition for a 16 yr old car. Interior is immaculate, and she shines up a treat, drives like a dream.

Someones going to get a very clean car with plenty of life left in her.

Any offers guys? This is a very clean example, with everything already done for many miles of motoring before you've got to lift a finger.
