Selling my mr2 because my partner and me are now working near to each other, so we are going to be sharing a car for a while to try and save some money.

65,000 miles (could increase as i still drive it)
6 months tax + 9 months mot
15" OZ alloy wheels with good tyres
New Breaks - Calipers have been rebuilt on the back, plus new pads and disks. I have new disks and pads for the front, but not fitted yet - £175
Braided brake hoses and lines - £125 fitted
New rear fensport topmounts - £250 fitted
New magnecor leads and plugs - £150 fitted
Just flushed the coolant system and the engine - Toyota forlife coolant and castrol edge 5w40 oil used. £100
Defi boost and oil pressure gauges and link meter - £280 fitted
Dump valve on custom pipework to avoid lumpy running on Rev 1 engines. Works perfectly and doesnt cause any problems
Sport Steering wheel and gear knob
Before i had the car the turbo was replaced at a cost of over £1100 - cam belt and tensioners were done aswell (around 9000 miles ago)
Custom single exit exhaust - slash cut 3.5" from the downpipe - £310
Uprated Speakers front and rear - £180
Clifford Concept alarm immobiliser with turbo timer and 2 fobs - £400 fitted
HKS Fuel Cut Defender - £26
Infinty perfect 12" sub behind the seat, and a juced amp £250
Kenwood ddx 6029 double din dvd with built in bluetooth - £450
Since owning this i have spent thousands
£1886 is what ive spent on the car in the last month or two. Add the £1100 for the turbo work and you can see that this should provide trouble free running for some time and a huge saving for the new buyer


Bad Points
Car has half leather seats inside mint except for the drivers bolster as shown in the pictures
Inside the ashtray has a crack and the drivers side door handle trim is missing.
Outside there are a couple of tiny car park dings - and i mean tiny.
Paint has faded slightly on the bootlid/engine lid. Will polish it up and you wont notice it, im probably too honest
Small crack in the windscreen, but it passed the mot with this.
Front disk is slightly warped and can shake at high speed breaking. I have the new breaks ready to swap just might not have the time.
Rear tie bar to track control bush as gone on drivers side. The set costs £18.56 - http://www.powerflex.co.uk/products.asp ... submit1=GO and takes around 15 minutes to change. £18.56 gets both bushes for the rear end. They arent causing a problem at the moment just that it knocks on big bumps
No ECU errors, no bad running, no smoking. Runs as it should.

Not sure what else there is to say really. This car is ready for trouble free driving, or upping the boost a bit to go that little bit faster.

Folder full of history bits and bobs - i have the mot/old mots and v5 etc
Plus a reciept from new era imports from when the car was imported and the speedo converted to mph. 112mph limit has been removed and hks fuel cut defender fitted ready to raise the boost

forgot to mention it has been lowered by 40mm all round. Cant remember exactly which springs were used but i think they were bilsteins... will try and find out.

And i know its an old car, and the country is in a bad way at the moment, so im willing to listen to offers. But no px's unless you have a st205 gt4

also forgot to mention that it has a blitz access super computer ecu. Knew i was forgetting something. £300 is what i paid for it. Removes the fuel cut, removes the boost cut, and its a "super" computer which means no need for mapping as it is a "learning" ecu

Will take some tomorrow and post them up, but its just a standard tubby tintop to look at (with different wheels)

If no one is interested then i may consider breaking it back to a standard car and selling the extras on. Im sure i will get £1000 for the car, and should get around £500 - £700 for the extra bits. Think the ecu's fectch around £300, brakes around £200 Gauges around £100 etc ..

RICHYGT4?? if it is then yeah ive seen that your old car is for sale - ive been considering it myself

My main concerns are that im 6'6" and 18st doesnt make driving a lowered mr2 easy
plus there is something about the gt4 that i just can put my finger on - i love them

Im going to be posting up pictures tomorrow. Will do some engine bay shots, undercar shots, interior exterior wheels exhaust and the few little dings that there are (not many at all) - Car is booked in for next wednesday - having the new brakes / hubs / driveshafts / calipers / pads fitted and going to have the tracking and balancing done aswell....

I love spending money on a car that im selling.....

tell me about it. Everytime i go to buy a car i travel the length of the bloody country. I think 250 miles round trip is the least ive travelled. And 580 was the most for my first gt4... why oh why did i sell it

just to keep the post updated - no longer has rev 3 drilled and grooved disks or calipers. Took them to be fitted today but unfortunately they werent abs brakes and my rev 1 has abs. So instead i have bought new disks for the front, new calipers and new pads. Had the rears checked today and they are fine. Had the tracking done, and the wheels balanced.

Also just ordered some new bushes for the rear toe in bars(i think) as mine had started to soften. So the new discs pads calipers bushes will be fitted either this weekend or next week.

God i love spending money on a car im selling

another thing. I will be leaving in the uprated speakers, the infinity 12 sub and the kenwood headunit at this price!!
There is almost £700 worth of sound system when bought new.
