L & V insurance

Post by Grajey »

Just phoned for a quote.
The girl on the phone said they couldn't provide cover because my car is modified. :(
They would have quoted for a standard tubby though.

Gotta keep trawling through the insurance company list - again!!!! #-o

For modified cars - try Dorset, Houghton, Adrian Flux ...

L&V are completely schizo... some folks on the mkiv supra site are insured with them (under/over 25, import/uk cars, standard/modded so a real mix)... depending on who they seem to speak to, they get a different answer every time.

Liverpool Victoria changed their policy in November. I am with them and when I took out insurance with them in August, they did not care what modifications I had done to the car. Apparently, because so many chav's have been writing off so many modified Escorts, they were losing money. If you are already insured with them and your car is modified, they will renew your insurance next year, apparently. We'll see in August.

Yeah .... they changed it all. They have done what most Insurance companies are doing now.

They will re-new your policy if you all ready have one. Alot of the guys on the FTO board have managed to get a re-new with LV.
