Why don't you download it from UK PSN?

The only Star Wars game i want to see is a space flight sim (can't remember the ones we've already had but they wern't good enough for me to remember the names of unless Jedi Starfighter is the only one) and Racer doesn't count as that was Wipeout with SW graphics.

Take the Star Wars licence and use all the graphics/ships/locations/characters etc and put them in a game that is a mix the original Wing Commander & Awesome off the Amiga (if you remember those)

TIE Fighter on DOS was awesome! Never got into X-Wing, much preferred being the bad guy. 8)

An updated TIE Fighter would be incredible. I'd happily pay for that again.

I don't ever remember any star wars games on any consoles i've had. nes, snes, megadrive, saturn, n64 ps1, ps2, 360 ps3. I can't believe any that have gone before look remotely as good as this. I doubt they had the content this'll have either.

Super Star Wars on the SNES. Brilliant game, if a bit hard.

Sorry, but that was plain awful.

Tie Fighter & X-Wing on PC in the mid 90s were very good though.

I'm sure alot of people have fond memories of old games. The sad truth is, they're just never as good as your memories.

You are wrong!!! Just because it looks fantastic doesn't make it fantastic (unless your still in primary school) GTAIV proved this.

Currently playing through the Spectrum version of Myth :) (completed the Amiga (again) and C=64 versions already this year)

Smooth, seemless graphics in full 3d is so much better than shitty old 2d stuff. Not having to squint to figure out what your looking at is where it's at. I like to look at things and be impressed. Not think how dated it looks. Most of those old games are also so small they can be completed in a couple of hours. Oldest game i can remember that i liked and still would now is Golden Eye. Before that, it's all best confined to memories.

I downloaded Force Unleashed demo again last night, Played it upto the fighter circling the hanger about 20 mins? As already mentioned if that's all the full game has apart from X hours to complete over X levels it will get very repetative very quickly. Fast action button bashers like that don't do anything for me (Heavenly Sword PS3) is another culprit and to be honset i'd rather be playing Golden Eye.

BUT...

I am going to buy it when it's released so that when friends are round they can say "Ah! you've got SWTFU what's it like?" and i'll say "I don't know, I haven't played it, It's probably dull like the demo so i can't be bothered wasting my time with it" I spent £40 on it because it looks amazing and really shows of what these next gen consoles are capable of :thumleft:

Good find.

How could i forget DARK FORCES  completed that time and time again on the PS1, Should have that in the loft, Wonder if it's compatable on the PS3 and what it looks like upscaled :-k

other than that, Golden Eye and the original SW, SW:TESB & SW:ROTJ (original arcade versions) are my faves.

Reason for edit: A very bizzare spelling mistake

For me, it just doesn't even try anything remotely new. You could argue that no game has done the whole throwing stuff thing, but that's an incredible gimmick that ceases to be fun after 5 mins. Now, if they hadn't made the game with millions of crates that just happen to be laying around, and maybe made you try and rip various parts of the scenery apart (work stations, smaller walls etc) then that would've been a bit more interesting, as in you would have to try and work out what you could throw. Why make it so easy?

You can blow the big doors wide open, but you can't throw them. Why not?

The use of QTEs is also a tad lazy. It's as if they couldn't work out how to give you enough control of your character that you could attempt to jump up on the Walker itself.
