Has anyone fitted mk3 seats into a mk2. i,m in a bit of a pickle the mk2 bolts into the sides of the seat where as the mk3 bolts up from the underneith.... any idesa people?

from what i understand its a case of taking the runners off the MK2 seats and welding them onto the mk3 seats. Think a few people have done this but no one seems to comment.

Because the mk3 runners wont match up with the fittings to the Mk2 chassis where it bolts on.

Sorry :) just think the few people that have done it done they either don't see the post or don't come onto the forum, or they are ignorant gits and don't want to share there experience's, doubt its that though. :D

Can,t see it being that hard to sort out but would also reckon the welder needs to come out.Good luck bud :thumleft:

Yeah mate i do as its in the garage most of the time the weather has been so bad lately wasnt worth bringing it out. Cant wait to give it its 1st wax they said to leave it a few months to let it harden or summit???????????

Had nothin but good comments it looks good in the flesh mate :thumleft: if i do say so myself :wink:

na mate i got given some yellow material ones with a black mesh type stuff in the middle. They will look ok i think...... got a roll cage going in an all lol =P~

Any chance of some pictures and instructions for people that want to do it, i was going to get some mk3 seats a while back, just missed the opportunity to buy them.

Glad 1 is done mate,looking forward to pics.
know what you mean about seeing in the flesh.I am not a big fan of the veilside.But i think yours,thai's old car and chris's look great in pics so probably look stunning in the flesh.

Think with the veilside you have to get every other part of your car right aswell to make it all work together which you and the above did very well.

yeah I've fit mk3 seats in a mk2. Looked awesome :thumleft: But surprisingly tall IYSWIM. I'll have a dig for piccys

Cheers :thumleft: they do look nice, better they are abit more comfortable than the 15 year old mk2 seats as well :)
