Brit car 24hr, Silverstone, support Rogue. 19th - 21st

Post by afennell »

We have to move quick on this one as there is a cut off date for the Friday 5th September.
It should be a great weekend and gives the imoc a chance to support Rogue and give them a big thanks for their help and great customer service to the mr2 community.
Some of the information I have been sent is bellow.

“For 2008 we will be having a large display area showcasing different car clubs so why don’t you come along and represent IMOC with our special display area and lunchtime parade of cars around the historic Grand Prix Circuit.

We are able to offer your members a discounted rate of £35 which gives you a weekend pass for 2 people, a car pass to get your car into the display area behind the Woodcote and Startline grandstands, grandstand seating throughout the event, paddock access, use of the hospitality and bar of the Silverstone Racing Club and an event program. In addition there is a parade of cars around the circuit on Saturday lunchtime where your members can parade their car for an additional £20 for each vehicle.”

Camping extra and available through there official camping partner White Rabbit Racing on 07773 323723. Camping is also available off site at Whittlebury Hall who can be contacted on 01327 850071. Please book any camping requirements directly with these agents.

If we get a few names down I will contact the camp site to see if I can pre book an area so we are all together. The camp site is in walking distance to the race track through a private path.

Yeah I'd be up for that - any idea of camping costs yet?

Definitely a good idea, was going to pay £30 for tickets anyway so the extra fiver is a no brainer.

Had a little chat with White Rabbit Racing who are organising the camping.
A pitch is going to cost you £50 for the weekend ( Friday – Sunday).
A pitch is the size for a car and a tent, so if your bringing a Winnebago it may be more.
They will allow club pitches, and are saying there will be security on the site.

As the £35 gets you a weekend pass, we'd like to be there for the full weekend please!

Seeing as I'm not camping (and wouldn't actually want to show off my car as it's in a very poor state at the moment) it doesn't really make any difference to me what day we go if we narrow it down to one.

Just got free entry and camping for the weekend so count us out of this deal. Still would be nice to put the car on the stand though :)

I think this camping event could have been too close to Jae.
Due to only a few people been interested i'm not able to arrange a club stand.

You can still however get the advance tickets.
I will post the info in a bit.

Please contact the Silverstone ticket office on 08704 588260 and quote the reference ‘SILV08’ for 2 weekend tickets for £30. The weekend ticket offers you grandstand seats and paddock access throughout the event

Nobody up for a proper IMOC/other club presence at this? I am surprised!! Top Gear have re-entered apparently. 8-[

If we had enough cars we'd get a parade lap...

The roadster entered is looking serious!
