Somewhat optimistic, I'd be more optimistic about winning the lottery.

I took the XS power one off my car, suffered massive heatsoak around 320bhp.. havn't decided if to give it away for £50 or bin it..

TBH, any side mount will suffer heatsoak!

I'm going to stick with the stock IC seeing as I'm keeping the stock ECU and only running at 1bar.

I had an ARC IC on my old tubby and that make a slight improvement to throttle response.

My XSPower IC is also cool after a long drive. I thought considering the heat of the IC pipes it would be hot so was worried at first to touch it, when I did I thought wtf its stone cold :D

Im only running with bolt on mods and upped boost, I think a CC or Bootmount is what you want for running high bhp

CC's can suffer incredible heatsoak too.

Some would say that anything is better than the stock IC!

Well when you put it like that.

Does the stock fan bolt to this, it that what those extra tabs are for?

Get a SPAL fan - much better at reducing heatsoak when the car is stationary.

This is the problem with cost saving. If you look at the EMS powered IC kit, for example, for a very reasonable amount you get absolutely everything you need to get up and running (Ebay kits are notorious for not having the correct flexis and clamps or an uprated fan).

I'd personally save a bit more and get an EMS Powered kit or a 2nd hand Berk or Greddy kit - all of which should come with a proper shroud and SPAL fan :thumleft:

SOOOOO...........

If i was to get this IC, and then get a shroud and new spiral fan would cost me £200 or there abouts.

OR.......

Save another £200 and get a berk intercooler?

You will need 2 more hoses as well. So add another £30 to that. But still a good deal cheaper than the berk.

Ignore me sorry. Didn't count the hoses. XS power ones comes 2 hoses short, so as this looked like an XS power unit, assumed it would only have 4 and not the required 6. But it looks like it does actually have all 6, so even more of a bargain.

ive had this one before, pipes popped off straight away, i ended up paying an extra £20 for a shroud, £63 for a back cover and spal fan, £15 for mikilor clamps and another £42 for decent hoses, take all that into consideration and its all of a sudden not such a good buy :eye: :eye:
