[Mk2] [Turbo] Long awaited 2008 update photos.....

Post by Rob »

The old skoolers on here will remember my stock UK spec N/A when I joined way back in 2002. Since then the car has changed quite a lot with the following spec list....

'94 Rev3 Turbo engine conversion
Apex'i Power intake
GTS Chris downpipe
Motoria 4" DEPII copy exhaust
NGK Cold grade plugs
HKS SSQV
ARC Intercooler
TRD strut braces front & rear
TRD front & rear ARB's
Tom's Under body brace
High & Tight Poly bushes all round
GAB Revo Stroke R Coilovers
Tom's (Rays) 16" C7R's (Summer) A-Tech Final Speed 16" (Winter)
TRD short shifter
xxxx bb shift bushes
Speed source shift plate bushes
Goodridge Stainless braided brake lines
Motul Dot6 brake fluid
Recaro optional seats & door cards
S2000 engine start button
And lots of other small cosmetics which I wont bore you with!

The car is very nearly how I want it to be at long last giving the look of a stock bodied car with JDM goodies under the surface.

I could never get the pictures to capture the car how I wanted with my old camera so it was time for a dslr.

I saved up and bought my Nikon D40x in January but I didn't seem to be able to get anything decent out of it compared to my old Minolta compact. I had some time recently to practice and experiment with it which has helped me understand about the camera and also much more about photography in general, and here is the result with the use of Photomatix 2.5 having combined 3 different exposure shots of the same photo merged into 1 to create an HDR image.

Hope you all like.....

Exhaust is a Motoria dep2 copy - good price and very well built.

Nah thats not where I work - I just seek out these dodgy looking backgrounds. Work car park would be very dull indeed! :)
