Don't get me wrong... Just look at my long history of Trackdays to know the car gets used... Ask Patrick @ Rogue how many sets of Brake disks I've been through!!

Just learn to blip on a down-shift.

The intercooler is a very early Greddy - with the Blue steel pipes that have the two injector bungs if you know what I mean... It's a little worse for wear now and I've long considered a Chargecooler instead. I've also run a home-brew Water Injection kit since the 2nd year of ownership.

Probably why mine lasts so long too, i ALWAYS blip on even 2.5k downshifts i've got it down to a fine art now. People may think i'm nuts and can't drive by the sounds of it but i'd prefer to keep my clutch longer, plus I like revving it

Funny you guys should mention it. I've just started doing this as a way to make the ride a bit smoother...(que comments on my bad driving!)
are there any tips for this? as it may sound stupid but i find 4th to third easy but in to second i find very hard to do with out making the car lurch.

I normally heal and toe every blip. I know what you mean, I had the same problem going to second, just hold your foot down on the accel half a second longer than you would from 4th to 3rd, it may seem like it's going to over-rev at first but it won't trust me

See i can't heal and toe... im no race driver by any means i was just trying to try some different driving techniques pottering to and from work :P may have to try that the only time i've tried it i nearly bounced my head of the windscreen! think i was a little to hard on the brake :P
the only thing i dislike about the blipping is that people stare at me like i've just missed a gear! prob doesnt help that my exhaust isn't the most subtle :P :thumleft: will start practasing again tomorrow :)
