Cheap MR2 rev2 UK N/A T-bar

Post by stevenb »

I have bought another MR2 and so I am selling mine.
It has MOT to 28th Sept this year and MOT to end of Sept too.
Oct 1992 K reg rev2

Just under 106,000 miles. used as my only and everyday car!
No history other than current MOT and a few bits the previous owner did.....but since then I have receipts for all my work which inlcude and oil filter (Toyota one!) and oil 10w30 semi synth.
New forlife coolant with full flush done by Luke at Pacific works.
Luke also changed the offside handbrake cable.

The car had new discs and pads when I bought it 2 months ago! The brakes are spot on all round.

Engine/G-box:
The engine is not the original engine.
The oil pump gasket is leaking and needs replacing.
The valve shims are noisy.
There is a small bracket missing that helps keep the accelerator cable in situ (I dont mean the bit where the adjustment bolts are though...that is fine)
It does have a new rocker cover gasket though!
It runs and drives perfectly....albeit noisy (tappety only) at times.
There are no knocks or rattles.
Previous owner changed the head-gasket.
It's had a reckon gearbox fitted too which you can see.

I have had a compression test done by Luke at Pacific works and all cylinders are spot on.

The car is totally standard. With a spotless interior.
The exhaust is fine and has it's CAT pipe in place.
There is a chip on the pass. side of the windscreen (wont fail MOT as it passed the last one with it!)
There is a small crack on the drivers side too....but it goes rough in a small semi-circle so its fine. (wont fail MOT as it passed the last one with it!)
Had it inspected by my local bodyshop too and he said it would not fail as it's not in the area considered dangerous.

T-bar seals dont leak as I siliconed them!
Fog lights have been removed but will go with the car.
The rear suspension frame has been changed by the previous owner too.

The car has half leathers in great condition for their age.
The car has a Sony MP3/CD stereo (face off). Plus the leccy aerial works.
It also has had a beesting aerial fitted...strange...but its there...

The red bodywork (3E5 super red) is in good condition but is faded in some parts more than others.
The rear spoiler is not super red....but the darker red.

Wheels are in good condition with only slight kerbing scars.
All 4 tyres are excellent with lots of tread (toyo proxes).

All electrics working. All lights are spot on. Standard factory immobiliser works fine too.

Luke and Harry at Pacific Works will confirm all this info is true!
I need to sell the car asap so make me an offer please!
The car is too good to strip for parts but I will have to see about that!

As said...the cars runs fine...it's just got the oil leak!

Im wanting £600....I paid £1100 for it 2 months ago!!!!!!!!!

Pic here (albeit with ally silver meshing where the fogs are!):

Forgot to mention that it's had a new dizzy cap and arm as well.
The exhaust is a standard system.

I have been asked about the oil light/s.
The pressure light works as normal...comes on upon startup and goes out....and stays out!

The orange oil level light comes on when the level gets low.
I am carrying oil in the car with me and I have to top up about 200ml every 80-100 miles or depending if it's around town or open road driving.

I am being honest here.
there car is not a wreck at all....and shines up very well indeed!

I was going to buy Harry's engine at Pacfiic Works but I saw a MR2 I just had to have instead!

The paint work is not faded, just different shades (the way it has bleached in the light)
The car has been treated with cutting compund all over and had AG super resin polish treatment twice.

There is no pink paint anymore!

I really recommend viewing....even Vixter said how clean my red car looked compared to most red MR2's when I saw her yesterday.
You will not be disappointed for the money!

Not even one enquiry on this forum. :-k

As I said...make me an offer.
I can swap some bits over from another MR2 to make it cheaper for you.
