Spanner of the evening (or should that be luckiest git of the evening :D ) WAS ME !

Spanner cos I'm an idiot and didn't know why my steering wheel started to vibrate like a pnuematic drill on the Way to Bluewater..

Luckiest Git cos it turned out my front left wheel was being held in place by only 1 nut done up.. the remaining 4 were spinning free on the hub bolts

Needless to say the journey home was a lot less "vibrating"

Nice to meet you also BenF !

Sorry to all who didn't get a dohnut from me this meet - was running late and also p1ssed off untill i knew what was wrong with my car (see above  )
Who gave me a Jam Dohnut ?... God I'm USELESS with names...

cheers

Hey, had a really good time last night - great to see so many people from here and have a chat about their cars and what they've done. Chatting to Mark and Mike it will be good to see their cars on the rollers at Engine Advantages later in a couple of weeks. There's some serious time, effort and money gone into those cars - very nice!

Frank - I'm seriously tempted to get some Defi gauges for the Roadster and its all your fault ;) Nice one co-ordinating people to turn up. I still am chuckling thinking of your number plate - even I haven't gone that far! That Cosmos Blue is one of the best colours that they did on a Mk2.

Blood- ta for showing me around and introducing me to people - I recognised you from your car's Garage Pic, very nice.

And as for the 'imposter' Ben F ;) well, at least we've got a pic of him now so we aren't confused as to who's who. Nice car though, on idle you could just hear that there were some interesting cams in there.

Getting some pictures of people up is a really good idea - what about just uploading one and putting it in your car's Garage?

Looks like a little more spanner work is required for me - I noticed that the Roadster had a slow drip of oil coming from the bottom of the engine - I suspect its just where the oil pressure sensor and oil line is mounted into the engine block, but I'll have the car up on some stands this evening and will check it out.

I thought you was taking a bit easy on the A21 last night Mark.

If I'd have known you had a coolant problem, you could have popped round to my place for a free forlife top-up.

Hope all is ok.

Yes mate i did unfortuneately. It over heated twice on the way home, something's amiss with it, off to find out what today. Seemed to be making boost far too easily and even after driving very sensibly the turbo was glowing nicely. think the exhaust cam might of jumped a tooth but i'll find out soon enough.

Nice to meet those i hadn't before, Ben F, Geoff and Alex.

Bry, you're car still amazes me, it llooks fantastic, how you can get away with it being so low too, can't wait to see the skirts the right colour.

Cheers Pete, i had plenty of water with me as Andi went on a mission into sevenoaks to get some for me after the first time it overheated. Did it again halfway down the a267 too. would of popped in for tea though. :P

yeah you bl00dy vultures !
no sooner had i stepped out the car than people were over and "where's the dohnuts, where's the Dohnuts !? "

not so much as a "hiya Frank howya doing - now where's ya dohnuts"
that would have been better

True I had issues with my wheel - namely it wasn't done up !
all sorted now - normal service will be resumed for the RR day - I'm gonna source a supplier of Dohnuts and bring them on Sunday at the RR day !

"Poor Driver" is right ! - I'm just about to fork out another £400 ontop for
refurbs of my new rims from Japland ontop of their price and add to that
a full set of Stainless Steel KW Coilovers, braided lines, pagid pads,
dot5.1 fluid, Silkolene oil, Copper contact dizzy, TRD Iridium plugs and
new Magnecore leads just THIS MONTH !

and people moan about not getting a dohnut from me !
