cheers James,
a lot of hard work and hard cash went into it, and all my own work. engine is standard MR2, only thing I have done is remove the pr-cats.

The Dino and the two 355s were mine, and built by me also.

Hmm....not being funny, but surely anyone who has wanted a Ferrari since they were a kid, and has £26k to spend on a replica, would also be able to afford £35k and get a real one..!!?

I mean, look at this engine bay:

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... =751036907

I would love a Ferrari, but if I lashed out over £25k, I would still wanna HEAR and FEEL those horses every time I put my foot down.....

.....not a 1.8 / 4-cyl... [-X

Nice looking car, though...!

you can only get 355's for the 35k mark. 360 hardtops start from 40k and spiders at the 55k.

however, yeah it is true the engine bay, sound, power and handling is not the same by any means but at least you get reliability and cheaper running costs

also the real 360 has honeycomb rear while this has black painted

£24k or so would be a ferrari 348 for me :)

but non the less aside from my feelings about replicas etc, hard not to admire the work that has gone into that :)

I found a Testarossa for £25K. Cat. C repaired though, so it'd need some serious inspection before I'd go near it! Looked nice enough though.

Sorry mate, was only asking out of curiosity.

Looking as great as it does I am sure you'll have no problem selling that on Ebay - Ferrari replicas always seem to get lots of bids on there.

Looks like a good replica, but doesnt it give it away when the exhaust note is a 1.8 4cyl and not a 3.6 V8?

£26k? Seriously?

yes exhaust is a give away but sounds well, and yes serious about price, and I have just refused £23,500 offer. cheapest DNA replica for sale, only a handful completed. and each to their own, whatever lights your candle. MADMAN.

Well, to be fair, that's an extremely good attempt, and to the untrained eye, very convincing, but...

Replica

Real

...the rear overhang is just a little too long on the replica, which for me, spoils the balance of the car.

Also, as has been said. A car like this needs a powerplant worthy of it's asthetics. The ZZ is never going to set the world alight, but...

...if it had a 1MZ or 3VZ-FE V6 fitted though, well that would be a different matter.
