Mk1 SC - Trackday fun 'the supernail'

Post by Speedy »

Once it's back running again, will put it up for sale. It's a brilliant car.

AE92 SC engine, recently rebuilt, having a new HKS metal HG fitted soon. Wilder cams, bigger injectors, chargecooler, omex ecu, OEM LSD, Ledas all round, partially stripped interior.. currently wearing those carbotech brake pads which I can't remember the name of :flossy:

May sell oz superleggaras seperatley.. make me an offer..

Otherwise, £4.5k. Will be in full working order. MOT until nov (from memory).

headwork, water injection kit, de-handled, new magnex exhaust.. etc..

(de-handled means that it no longer has door handles - the alarm system pops the doors open)

Ok, various pictures and videos of the car in action then :

Various videos from trackdays - these Anglesey vids are from before the engine was rebuilt, and before it got the LSD gearbox fitted.
http://www.imoc.co.uk/videos/Anglesey_O ... ex_lap.wmv
http://www.imoc.co.uk/videos/Anglesey_O ... na_lap.wmv

More recently from Cadwell Park
http://www.luckymonkey.co.uk/mr2/videos ... ll-park/49

More detailed spec list then :

AE92 4AGZE Engine, recently rebored and rebuilt with Toyota parts
Brand New Magnex Exhaust
Fensport SC Pulley (more boost)
PACE Chargecooler kit + Pre-rad, installed by Noble Motorsports
Carbotech brakes all round
Cusco master cylinder brace
Water injection tank and aquamist system (not currently running but in the car)
Ported head
Wilder cams
Bucket conversion (shim-under-bucket)
OMEX 600 ECU
LSD SC Gearbox
LEDA coilover suspension all round
Thicker rear ARB
Sony stereo
New front wheelbearings
New front track rod ends
New engine torque mounts
Will also have ARP studs and HKS metal HG fitted
Generally pretty good for rust, some spots over rear arches
Sills in good condition

There are probably other things which I've missed off the list. This really is a great car which can be used on the road and as a trackday toy, I just don't have the time to look after it anymore and I hope there is somebody out there who does :+:

Alex

doesn't it also have over £2000 worth of top quality SP Performance cylinder head?

(have a look in the receipts maybe?)

Cheers

Yes it does - Head is going back on tonight, then will replace this ad with a full version, more piccys etc (and also so we know it's ready to sell, and is at full fitness!)

Anyone who knows the car will know how well set up it is - easily keeping pace with Honda Integras (dare i say it - possibly quicker), probably 200bhp (haven't dyno'd it - only had it road mapped as it's about the drivability to me which is more about torque than bhp).

lol, yes, certainly does, and better still, it's even flat now

There are more things which aren't yet on the list, like the front top mounts which are adjustable, or the exhaust manifold, which is actually a proper GZE one with a new O2 sensor, and a knock sensor which is also new etc etc etc :+:

hey anna,

yeah been a while still, got a mk1 again now tho, bit of a dog but it'll eventually be ok...never be a show car tho lol
I'm still round warwick way yep, def catch up at some point, haven't seen you guys in a long time now (not even at work ;)) i trust everything is well.

I'll pm you later re:catch up, but quick q, ive got to swap my engine over sometime this month (mine is knackered so have got a replacement) but i wonder if you know of any places to rent or hire or use in this area to do the swap (couple days max i would guess), as my little garage i have barely fits the car and dont think my neighbours will much like my engine being done on our communal driveway haha.

Anyway thought id ask and see!

keep me posted on the super/nail too :)

Guy
