I know what you mean......the car is a T78 running 1.5 bar so no slouch and to my reconnings should be a 450+ motor. Will have to wait and see what the bank man says for me to bring it across!

My spec as it stands

Rev1 MR2 turbo

Trust 40mm springs, bilstein shocks, Volk 17" TE37s with 215/40 and 245/35 toyo rubber, full border bodykit with toms scoop and SPL rear wing.

JE 0.25 forgies, overbored block, HKS valves, valve springs, 264 duration cams, duralinum pulleys, 1.2mm HG. 8.5mm leads, oversized throttle body, trust catch tank with KN race filter, ARP head and main bolts, ported gas flowed head, balanced bottom end, TRUST IC with hard wired SPAL fan, TRUST T67-25 turbo kit with type R wastegate, tubi manifold, downpipe etc. TRUST GREX oil cooler, Blitz NUR spec exhaust and filter, Power enterprise 800cc injectors and racing fuel pump, custom fuel rail, 3 bar map sensor, AFM removed (I'm hoping). Spec 9lb flywheel, TRD triple paddle clutch, rev3 box, defi guages, PowerFC with commander and boost controller (or Motec M4 with anti-lag if the FC don't work).

Can't think what else...I keep missing bits off.

damn that's a spec! i guess i may have to look at engine modding in the future to fill my profile up so it doesn't look to lame compared to some of the rest beasts that have appeared!

Chris

What I have learned about Tubbies is that they sell an awful lot quicker with just mild upgrades rather than big OTT upgrades. I have sold 4 Tubbies now and the standard one was the one that got most interest :D

My Spec (work in progress)

Rev 2 GTS

TTE head gasket
ARP head bolts
ATS td06 with external wastgate and screamer pipe
Wolfkatz Fuel rail, aeromotive FPR, Walbro Fuel pump.
Fidanza Flywheel, spec clutch.
Departure II exhaust.

Not a patch on most of you guys, but built by my own hand (so i'll have no-one else to blame if it goes bang).

Mr Hog...or can I call you Hedge? I don't plan on selling my tubby ;) you're right though about people buying less modded ones, unless it's a very good one and you can sell it for many many pouns.

No, you can call me the Spikey Night Crawler :D

Yeah I know, I was just pointing out to Spam boy, that if he wanted to sell his REV2 to buy a REV3, then keeping the REV2 standard would work in his favour. I dont know what Chris's plans are you see....... :D

I agree, I think a heavily modified car is worth 000's more than a standard one, but only enthusiasts would though, you Mr Jo average wouldn't....exactly what just happened to me.

I sold a Standard REV3 1994 In July 04 50k on the clock = £5250
I sold a modified REV 3 1995 In December 04 50k on the clock = £5000.

 :D

The amusing thing is that person who bought the standard car will be on here 3 weeks later finding out where to spend 500 quid for an exhaust, 100 quid for an intake and 300 for a boost controller hehehe

My example,

4k car with 6k's worth of mods - cost me 4 grand :D

Performance parts cost more than oem repairs, so buy modded, you know it makes sense!
Small turbos - they're not big and they're not clever!

Just say NO to small turbos!

plan to keep the rev2 for a while!

probably go for minor mods, usual boost increase to 15psi ect. stuff that can be easily undone when if i decide on a later rev! will pick blue or the cosmos purple thingy if i ever sold my rev2 mind ;)
