I cracked it open and drank the juice.

Fingers crossed fuel prices don't rise any further.

Could always LPG it though.

Seriously, 45mpg is possible on V-Power/BP Ultimate
(which is what I pretty much always ran on).
I'd be doing the same with the C6, but diesel.
.
OUCH.
A lesson I have learned this week
- the C6 may indeed give 38mpg on flat English motorways and A-roads.
It does NOT give that on Borders roads; feels more like 20.

The MR2's economy figures were 45mpg for driving NSL or slightly below in the Borders
(manual gearboxes ftw around here), 38mpg for high-speed motorway runs, and around 30-35 pottering around Birmingham
(but I don't drive in rush hour traffic)

The C6 gives the best economy at 85 juding by the instant readout and how much it varies.
This may be a problem in the UK.
.
.
(I might get better economy in the Borders using the manual mode, but the gearlever is designed for LHD and you have to reach quite a long way to change).

I'm crossing my fingers for your V6 sale like you wouldn't believe

You and me both fella- its breaking my heart as I've lived and breathed that car for so long.
.
.but it'll ruin me if I don't sell it.
This'll be the 4th MR2 I've owned..
.and I'm only 22.

Quick question- it's a long shot, and not particularly important, but do you think an acoustic guitar
(with or without hardcase) will fit in the boot of a mk2?
I think not..
.but the mk2 I bought went round the block once before I stripped it for bits so I've no idea of the actual boot sizes.

Try two, if you put them back to back neck/body overlapped, one in a case should not be a problem.

I just put a full scale bass in there and it fits with a few other things in there too.

Awesome!

I only just managed to get my Clavinova
(CLP-260 if you're interested!) in my mk1 a couple of times for a few open-mic sessions up in St Andrews.
.
.wonder if it'll fit in the boot rather than all stuffed in the passenger seat lol.

Damn.
.
.this is even starting to sound mildly sensible.
Excellent.
