[Mk2] [Turbo] 3K Miss Fire

Hi all, I wonder if you can help me of give me some advise.

On the way to work this morning had a tussle with a volvo, when the car seem to lose power.
At first I thought it was a boost leak. Pulled over and no aparent pipes off or holes. Fired her back up and she was idleing fine. Got back on the motorway and as soon as you hit 3k she pops bangs and miss fires.

I have an idea on what it could be but would like your input also.......

Ok just took her up road....

On low boost it feels very much like a boost leak and sounds like a bost leak...

On High boost it pops and bangs at 3k.....

Could be a boost leak, you getting any CEL on the dash? (check engine light)

The pops and bangs could be rich running from the leak?

Check plugs and dizzy cap, sounds like classic fouled plugs!
