Kent Car Craft - Oh My God!

Post by MrGazz2 »

My handbreak has been a bit dodgy for a while and my breaks were sticking a bit after using said handbreak, well today the breaks siezed on and would not loosen one bit - looking back I think the cable snapped the last time I pulled on the handle

Anyway, as some of you are aware it is the France day trip tomorrow that I have helped arrange over the past few months (mr2oc.co.uk arranged trip) - but I knew it had to be looked at because the pads were smouldering after pulling over and taking a look. At 11:30am I arrived at Kent Car Craft un-announced, retelling my dialema to Owen and Co. explaining about the owners club meet and that it would be bad form if I did not attend due to the work I put into maintaining the flow of information.

After a little MR2 banter Owen promptly phoned around to get hold of the handbreak cables and managed to source them for 2:30pm and said he would get my car done by close of play today. Even though he gave me his word I was a bit weary because I felt a little guilty for turning up without prior warning and dumping my car in his capable hands.

4:15pm came and a phone call from a very nice woman to tell me my car was ready to be picked up. I was shocked. I have never had such good and timely service by a garage, so I really have to give these guys the thumbs up.

Some of you might remember my clutch failed in April, well they fixed and replaced that too (I made a thread about it back then) and its still going strong!

So all I have to say is they come heavily recommended due to being entirely customer focused and providng a quality service. Everyone knows how hard it is to find a honest mechanic or a good mechanic, well cheers KCC you are both! Hurrah!!!

Crikey, if I'd put my car in it would have taken 3 days, I'm never lucky!

Well done KCC.

Oh and btw - brakes - not breaks ;)
