Hi Chris,

I've got a very rare kakimoto full stainless race exhaust for sale (currently in the for sale section) super condition too 8) . The pipe route is very direct and is a whopping 3.25 inches - i would imagine this would suit your needs pretty well.

A little different than the usual Nur spec/Apexi GT route chosen by many :-k

Best of luck with the project mate 8)

I always thought the Berk Technology exhaust was the most free flowing. I'm sure I read that somewhere.

Is the buddy club not the most free flowing? its pretty much straight pipework and thick to boot.

not even close i'm afraid as its a 3" all the way exhaust, where alot of the rarer japanese exhausts are 3" but then are alot larger through the devide which would increase exhaust flow.

I've tried, HKS hiper, PP s80, PP Dep2pro, Apexi N1 and GT

i've always returned to my favorite Dep 2 Pro and everytime the boost would shoot over the set mark when it went back on. This is a rough estermation of how free flowing it is.

The most restrictive i found was the HKS hiper at 2.5" piping but it was quiet. The dep 2 pro is 3" from the car, 3.5" after the flexy, then 3.5" from the slip through both cans and out the back.

Best road exhaust i've found anyway downside is it hangs low and is quite heavy.

i've also got a Buddyclub spec 2 sat here which you say is just a straight through piece of pipe, but where it joins the cat its just over 2" in diameter, yes you did read that right!, the internal of the flexy is also 2.25" which is smaller than standard, then opens upto to 3" after the cross member. This is probably to keep the noise under slight control.

why does noone just have a straight through stainless pipe from the downpipe? would be louder then 2 planets colliding but wouldnt restrict the gasses at all?

sounds like the thing i made up for the drag boys.

basically just a short bend from the bottom of the open downpipe, just to direct the gases to the floor instead of into the oil sump lol

Not tested it yet but i know what an open downpipe sounds like and thats nuts

i haven't got a clue what my exhaust is. It says Blitz on a recipt i found but what they have done is chop the center section to the back box and reweld it. (tbh who ever welded mine must have had two left hands lol but it's stainless weld and it strong so can't grumble)

My exhaust is the most free flowing.

At only .75 meter long and 4" ID it gets the gasses out quick enough. With the right silencer the sounds levels are suprisingly low.

Ah but that WAS launch control.

For the length and size the exhaust is suprisingly quiet - and it went through the MOT fine so would be considered as street legal.

how do you get on with that and the mot?

i was under the impression that all exhausts had to be pointing out of the rear or atleast not aimed at passing traffic?

genuine question before you say i'm being awkward

So did I, but then consider a Van or a Lorry - most of them are side exit so i guess it isn't an issue.

TBH i think the tester was to busy trying to figure out which pipe to stick the emmision tester into!!!
