The car is a 1990 rev 1 3SFE MR2 with a 2.0 16V engine that is also fitted to a camry

120bhp and 9.5 secs to 60. I had one as my first MR.

Those are rev3 + wheels and will smarten it up quite a bit :thumleft:

nice project :D

I'd not fit that rev1 / rev2 spoiler you have to drill holes in the boot lid and main body and may have aerial issues. Get a rev3, 4 or 5 spoiler and you only need to drill the boot lid and it'll look more like a 1994 - 1998 car rather than a 1989 - 1993 car.

3sfe is the economy engine, 120bhp? oppose the 3sge 158bhp engine.

rev 3 spoiler, most think looks better than rev1 & 2 :-

agree with Steve, rev 3 spoiler I'd go for :thumleft:

As said, unless you want to drill more holes in your car ie 11 I think it is for the rev 1 spoiler, including 3 on each wing

Rev 3 has just 6 holes on the boot lid required.

I'll let you decide......

Keep it spoilerless mate. If you add a spoiler it's just unnecessary weight and cost and IMO spoilerless is a good look. The white car shown you asked about is rev3 or 4... spoilers changed again for the rev5s. Rev 3s on have the rounder lights you can see and also colour coded spats, sills and splitter.

Welcome to MR ownership mate.

unless going all the way stripped and carbon panels, leaving the spoiler on would have minimal effect as opposed to taking it off.....

Yeah but he wouldn't be taking it off would he.... he'd be going to the expense of adding one... Just thinking the money could be spent on other (better) things, besides you know I love 'em spoilerless. Anyway, individual choice is recognised here so whatever...
Either way I'm sure you'll enjoy the car Solly.

Just want to add another thought.... if you want to mod it have you considered lowering it? Only reason I ask is I currently have some 2yr old Fensport springs for a rev1 for sale that give a 30mm drop. Details in the For Sale section if you're interested...
