Wheels and offset compensation

Post by Nogg »

Following mucho head scratching with respect to tyres I've come to the conclusion there isn't a tyre that will be
the dogs for both road and track days, there will always be a compromise.
So, the obvious answer is a set for each.
I've a set of 6x15"alloys in the garage from my old Astra Sport which ran 195's and have a PCD of 100mm and a
centre bore of 56mm so they will fit Mister two, same PCD but 54mm bore IIRC. Main difference is the offset which
is 10mm greater on the Astra rims which will set the wheel deeper into the wheel arch.

So can anyone see any reason why I can't use these rims with a 10mm spacer and longer studs ?

ET45 will fit with no spacers, you'll need spigot rings to reduce the centre bore to 54.1.
