[Mk2] [Turbo] Keep The Charcoal Filter or Not?

Post by Wobbs »

Hi Viewers!
Has anybody done away with there Charcoal Filter situated on the near side, in front of the fuse box?
Due to the lack of space in the engine compartment which all Tubby owners are awear, I was looking at getting rid of the Charcoal filter unit and was wondering If anybody else had looked into this. I was after some advice on what to do with the hoses that run to and from.
Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers.......

I think people ditch them when putting the turbo engines into MK1s to save space. The 2 smaller pipes from the inlet manifold can just be connected together. Not sure what you do with the larger pipes going to the cannister though.

Do a search for carbon cannister, select 'search for all terms' and the 1st 2 topics found should answer any qeustions.
