You know you're getting old when looking at those photos and thinking "where's the retro consoles?"

Fair do's on the MasterSystem and NES.
But apart from that :-k
Where's the Atari 2600, Vectrex, Mattel Intellivision etc etc ? #-o

Yeah, I do need some of the older stuff. I just started with the ones that I actually remember from my childhood. I shall hopefully be getting the older ones soon.

Caleco vision! Binatone! You need to do some eBaying ;)
I remember my Dad bringing home an Atari 2600 (with wood veneer), state of the art stuff! Then an Acorn Electron with the whole family huddled around in awe :) I still have them in my garage as it happens, along with a whole host of Speccys/Amigas/Segas etc, there's no car in there, just old tat. I don't collect them as such, just never had the heart to bin them.

I threw away a SNES and a Saturn last year.

Do you actually use them or just have them on display?

I use them once in a while. Although I don't have many games. I figured I would get the consoles first, then if I see an old game I want, chances are I'll have the console to match it!

Currently playing Grandia 2 on the Dreamcast and Zelda on the SNES.

I'm still waiting till I can comfortably afford to buy Panzer Dragoon Saga on the Saturn. HOW MUCH?!

I have 1-10. I normally buy them in batches of 5. I've kind of got a bit slack recently though, what with "having" to buy various things (including my MR2 :D )

I've got a few, but I cut down since the Wii plays a lot of the games as downloads.

What I do have, and have had in the past, covers most bases - you'd probably like the Sega Multimega I've got kicking about (MegaCD system in a discman-sized (ish) package, but I'm missing the video lead) and the Sega Nomad I used to have.

We've also got a Vectrex.

I tended to focus more on retro computers - again, the collection has been massively thinned out, but I won't part with my boxed Atari Lynx II, Enterprise 128 and 64...

Multimegas and Nomads are awesome but a bit out of my price range really. When I run out of cheap retro consoles to buy, maybe I'll consider them!

Wow vectrex, rare

My brother used to run this little retro online site called colin's classic computers  he sold most of his collection but at one time it filled half his house lol

BTDT, I had a huge collection of Apple and other kit. Nothing like my mate Adrian's setup though, he has a site at http://www.binarydinosaurs.co.uk/ which may give you an idea of the scale...

The Multimega is worth money? It was in a box o' stuff I was given...

....yeah, I know it's collectible though :D. I bought a brand new one in 1994, spend LOADS on it, eventually traded it for a 3D0 and then got a Playstation. Shame 3D0 died - I got to see prototypes of the next-gen 3D0 system at the developer, along with bright-blue development models of the Playstation and... er... some Amstrad PcW16 boards being modified into prototype Set Top Boxes.

Still, I'm not using it. I'd probably trade it for something I can/will use...

my brother is the man for collecting retro games and consoles

he has got 7 different boxed nes's 5 different mastersystems
8 megadrives ,mega cd's , 32x, supernes x7 pc engines ,neo geo ,etc etc etc etc etc etc etc he's also got about 8 gamecubes in different colours, n64's galore , every colour type of gameboy, colour ,advance, sp and ds .
game gears, lynx 1+2 loads more obscure consoles aswell like nintendo virtual boy, and those rare little nintendo robots (ROB) which went with the nes he has got 4 of those and 3 are boxed
on his last count i think he had well over 1500 boxed games with instructions ,and about 500 without boxes .

to say he is a fanatic is an understatement. the loft at home is full as is his room and half the shed . also he has packed everygame into a freezer bag and he has stored all the boxed consoles in bin bags so they don't suffer any dust damage

thas without counting his starwars toys and the modern consoles he has got aswell .

nutter, and he gets on to me about how much i spend on my car
