[Mk2] [Turbo] Low boost and junk coming out from exhaust!

Hi guys,

This boost nightmare still is not over and has been bugging me since the past 2 months now. I removed all the parts from my car exhaust,decat, and even after replacing the turbo the problem still existed.

Now WOT the cars boost speedo gauge jumps up fast half way and at higher revs struggles to get to 3/4 of the boost gauge.

I have done everything from different mechanics to diagnostics etc etc.

Recently i discovered in my HKS Turbo exhaust some black mesh stuck in the tail pipe. I did remove as much as i could thinking it may be blocking it but it didnt make much of a difference.

What can i do next.

What causes this symtoms?

Ive checked the intercooler pipe and its fine,
If the intercooler had a hole in it, a noise would come from it but thats not the case.

Ive checked using a different induction kit.
The engine is fine.
The turbo's fine.

Any suggestions?

BTW the cars a mk2 rev2 turbo

if its black smoke from the exhaust (define "junk!") i would say its almost deffinatly a boost leak

have you checked for error codes?

LOL Junk meaning the type of thing in the catalytic convertor.

Ive got the HKS turbo exhaust , which i quiet so might have this stuff inside it to reduce noise.

Yes ive done all error codes about 10 times and reset the ecu and also disconected the batt for 10 mins.

Nothing works.

I will check the car when i got some time.

Honestly this cars got issues. I fix one thing and another problem comes out of no where .

At times while driving normally i get this "odd" noise from the exhaust part of a car. Pretty boomy (seems like a motorbike's overtaking). I just cant figure out what it is.

Your exhaust pipe isnt touching your tiwing eye is it? this makes the noise resonate through car.

lol thanks JeffD. i need to get the car on a ramp and sort these noises out. The exhaust which weighs like 10 tons (HKS turbo) is loose to which may be catching into something.
