I bought this car with a "duff engine" and i had full intentions of stripping it for parts. however when i saw it and how clean it was i just couldnt do it. also i found it had waterpump failure and a snapped cambelt.

I have fitted a new cambelt and the car runs a dream. here goes.

it is a 1992 rev 2 zircon blue UK model with all the usual Leather seats, blue glass, electric everything.

It has MOT untill end of november but tax is out. 4 former keepers.

the car may have more stuff i have forgot to menton. The car is in real good nick the paint is spot on apart from a few minor details (i mean minor) the car looks stunning and stands out from the croud.

BAD POINTS

front off side light cover has scratches
handbrake needs attention
tiny little 1p dink in rear arch
drivers bolster worn
glovebox scratched
no service history
steering wheel a little grubby (i will supply a MOMO EVO one with it)

the service history has been lost. HOWEVER i will start off a new service history as i have done the cam belt. water pump, coolant etc etc. there is actually a website on the car so you can see the work carried out in the past www.mybluemr2.co.uk

right just finished off the car tonight. been out in it and it drives spot on and sounds awsome. i put it through its paces to make sure everythign was ok and all good.

i then left it to idle for jsut over an hour and the temp gauge did not budge an inch, the fans kicked in as they should etc.

the only problem i noticed is the front struts are a little "creaky" when turning the wheels at a stand still.

right the car is finished i just need to line up the headlight covrs, close the bonnet and polsih the rear lights. here are the new pics, she honestly is a stunner

Hi guys,

Just for info, I was the last owner before Simmo. She was my first MR2, and I bought her 3 or so years ago with circa 80k on the clock.

The last 50k miles were pretty much exclusively down to motorway mileage, as I was commuting back and forth between Epsom and Cardiff for a year. Whilst I had her she was never tracked, or taken up the strip. To the best of my knowledge, the previous owner didn't do this either.

All mods, bar the wheels and roof, were done prior to me buying her.

She was home serviced during my ownership, hence no garage receipts. She's had new calipers everywhere except the front offside, and a new alternator.

no noises what so ever from anthing apart from the mentioned.

it has not had a front end bump i have checked this car overy and everything is fine, the headlight covers are not on properly yet but they will be.

the front bumper was removed to have the number plate holes smoothed over and resprayed.

the previous owner wanted a jap rear bumper hence the jap one which is MINT may i add.

dropped the price, i have not got the time to give it a service due to other commitments so dropped the price a little.

Aye, it has new tyres on quite recently; should be plenty of tread on them all round.

I never had a shunt in her, but I did have the front bumper and bonnet resprayed due to fading and stone chips (and had the badge and number plate screw holes smoothed over whilst at it), plus it once had the Rev 6 headlights fitted; the slightly squiff panel gaps are down to us never getting round to properly sorting them after putting the front end back on.

I was offered an import rear bumper for a decent price and swapped to that due to the smaller plate recess looking better with my private plate, so the paint on that is relatively fresh too.

actually, which car is it you're selling exactly? there are two cars up there, one in night time pics doesn't seem to have the darker roof, and has a different rear end but it does have the same number plate. And, in the pic of it undercover in a carpark, it's got a totally different registration number, and then.... there are 2 pictures with the same reg number but different syle rear plates. can you post a picture of the actual car for sale, in current condition with it's own number plate and back end?
