Gamestation Website

Post by matt_mr2t »

What a load of rubbish!

I ordered something at 7am Saturday morning and it's still "processing"
Just sent them an email to ask how long this will remain as "processing" an it says "we will endeavour to contact you within 5 days"

What an absolute load of pish!

Even cancelling orders takes 2 days.

Wont be ordering anything from their website again thats for sure.

Sounds like they dont have the stock but are willing to take your order. I try to only ever order from play/hmv and always get next day delivery from other sites so i know if its late and theres no waiting around.

That's the annoying thing, they charged for delivery and I'm sure there was an option for next day delivery at extra cost.
How pi$$ed off would you be if you paid extra and still had to wait?

I think I'll phone them at lunch and cancel it. Their online service is apalling though.

Any one else had problems with them?

Well despite what the website says I got a reply within a few hours not 3-5 days.
He said "it takes between 3-5 days so expect it on 27th June. I assumed because it still said processing on the website it hadnt been sent.
But seeing as no one has any experience I cant say for sure lol.

Play & Amazon get the majority of my orders for games/movies.
I'm usually motivated by price (e.g. I'm open to trying other sources) but they've performed faultlessly for me. Cheers for heads up, Gamestation now needs to be particularly cheap for me to give them a try in future.
Vote with your feet on your next order though...

Well it is a 360 HD drive not a game or DVD to be fair. It might be quicker for those.
Annoyingly, various HD DVD's I've ordered are now arriving with no way of watching them

Ahhh, that explains it, someone said to the despatch guy "Look, someone's ordered an obsolete HD DVD drive" - to which he replied "Haha yeah ok" - some days passed by and the original guy said "No really, someone has actually ordered one" - to which the despatch guy said - "Oh crap, I thought you were joking! I'll quickly stick it in the post today"

I reckon they've probably shifted more since they dropped to £20 than they ever did at £129.99!!

Put it this way, over night my HD collection is far larger than my Bluray collection as I can actually afford them lol.

For the sake of a little £20 box it's much better VFM than Bluray :thumleft:

For now.

Gamestation's shops are fine, I've no problems with that but their online service is totally shíte. Just don't order anything online from them again, I've tried a few times and always had problems. Just go instore or order elsewhere.

There arent any Gamestation near to me though.
I thought their online price for the drive was the best being £19.99 but they stuck £4.94 delivery on there making it about the same as Play.com

Not sure if play would deliver that for free though?

Bummer.

Did you say you ordered from Gamestation before? Did your order stay as "processing" until it arrived?
