We had a Betemax for quite a long time after they died out. Just had a VHS AND a Betamax.

End of the day, HD DVD's are out there, they're cheap as chips and there's no reason not to pick up films for them.

People still own PS1's & 2's yet they're hideously outdated now!

Oh but dont expect to find all these bargains in HMV, they had about 5 HD DVD's yesterday.

Online is the day.

Annoyingly they still want full price for Transformers every where. Think I'll just wait till that and Heroes comes to Bluray :thumleft:

I have a little dilema.
I want Alone In The Dark.
I also fancy picking up an HD Drive too just so I can build up my collection of HD films as Blurays are pricey still.

But I cant really afford both.

Hmm, it's my birthday soon. Perhaps I should nag some one for one :thumleft:

pmsl you two sound like me! If you want to get the best out of your bluray player join love film. I pay 16 quid a month for unlimited rentals. Had about 10 in about 3 weeks so far. I bought alone in the dark and my folks are getting me an hd drive. First order, transformers and heroes :)

It's not porn, it's an online movie rental company. Very good idea.

You pay a monthly fee depending on what you want. Starts at about £4 for limited service.

Then you select which films you want, they have all formats. Then as and when they become available they send them out to you. You can keep them as long as you like but you wont get the next one until you send what you have back.

My deal is £15.99 for unlimted rentals and up to 3 discs at any one time. I currently have Rocky Balboa at home and 28 Weeks Later & Training Day (all BR)

:-:

Bluray films are not £24.99. FFS. Misinformation tastic. :-:

Still i guess at least for the next year or so your HD player has some use. :+:

£14-17 is the average price for a blu-ray film.

Go into Zavvi or HMV and most of them are £24.99. Saw them all yesterday. Go check it out.

Play do sell some for £17.......but I'll pay £3.99 for the same HD films for now thanks! :oldtongue:
