Red rev2 T-Bar tubby, genuine 45k miles - UPDATED

Post by MadMentalist »

Up for sale due to imminent move to Oz...

1992 on a K plate.
Genuine 45k miles, all MOT's and BIMTA certificate to prove. :D
Only non-standard items are a K&N induction kit, fuel cut defender, de-cat pipe and 17" Ray's/Volk Engineering Lightweight Alloys (9"Rear - 255/45/r17 8" front - 215/45/r17). All tyres are very good with the fronts practically new.
Very good condition inside and out with only the odd small stone chip as you would expect for a car of this age and slight fading to the paintwork although it does polish up very nicely!
Aircon still blows cold, but who needs that with the roof off? :)
Fitted with a Clifford concept 650 alarm/immobiliser with turbo timer and proximity function.
MOT 03/09 TAX 08/08.

See my garage for pics, can send more if needed...

Looking for around £2850 but open to sensible offers.

I still need a runaround for a month so I may take a part exchange for an NA / MK1 or anything up to the value of £1000 pm me with what you got...

Hi mate, just wanted to know a bit more about the car. How much history has it got, what's been done recently, has it ever had a cam belt change, that sort of thing? Oh, and do you have the certificate for the alarm?

Cheers

From memory...

It was imported in Feb 2006 by Car imports Direct of Bristol with 29000 miles on the clock. As said above there is a BIMTA cert to prove :) There is a load of Jap history including the auction report, I can't read Jap so can't really make much sense of it all! Shortly after import the master cylinder for the clutch went so got replaced under warranty. As there was no indication of when it was last serviced it was given a full service including NGK Iridium plugs, high performance leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm and the all important oil flush and replacement with Mobil 1. The front brake pads were changed at about this time as well. The oil has been changed at regular 6k mile intervals since. The cambelt was changed by Bath Performance Cars at approximately 38k miles and the coolant had a full change then as well. All this was done by the previous owner who is a very good friend of mine.

The Clifford Concept 650 was proffessionally fitted shortly after import and has the origional certificate for insurance purposes.

Since i have owned the car i have had to do very little to it other than new wheels 8) and keeping up with the regular oil changes.

Most of the major work was carried out by Bath Performance Cars (including the xxxx de-cat pipe) with the standard servicing being done by the previous owner and myself. There are receipts for all the work that has been carried out.

hope all this helps...

I have had some private interest so I don't think it is going to hang around for long!!!
