that does sound rather high mate.

assuming you dont have the stock ct26 if your running 15.5psi?

with those mods thought it would be more 260 - 270 @ the fly?

Is that at the hubs? I would have thouht you needed uprated injectors and fuel pump to achieve that seeing as yours is a rev 2 :-k

My rev 3 back then with
Huge Trust Airinx air filter
Mines ECU
eBoost 2 Controller (unsure of what boost
HKS Turbo exhaust
Gutted Cat

made just 272.3hp

its 299.7 at the fly, and its a stock ct26 turbo. Dont normaly run it as high as 15.5 (normally around 14.5), the guy at the garage turned it up to try and push it over 300 at (my request).

i reckon the dyno is a bit generous then bud, the CT26 cant flow more than 1 bar.

any uprated intercooler or charge cooler on there?

what fueling you running?

15.5psi on a stock ceramic CT26 is overboosting, really wouldnt recomend it.

The CT26 can push 1.2 bar, but only up to around 5,000rpm, at which point the engine is consuming the air from the intake manifold at such a rate the turbo has been flat out for some time, and the boost will drop of to around 12psi by 5,500rpm which it will hold until the redline, so 15.5 is totally possible, but I'd argue 299.7bhp flywheel is not, seems quite generous to me - 260-270bhp flywheel would probably be amount the top wuoldn't it guys?

Dont need uprated injectors and fuel pump to hit 300bhp on a rev2 but it would be running at its limits. mine last made 303bhp and 308bhp the time before.

Mod list:

stage2 CT26 Turbo
AVCR set to hold 1.15bar
1.6mm HKS headgasket.
Apexi Air Filter
H&S downpipe and exhaust
Still got standard intercooler!

Rite, mite go get a second reading. taking into consideration my current mods, wot else would i need to do to push it over 300 at fly?

what's the at wheel figure? That's a mighty impressive figure for 15psi though

Bigger turbo (ct20 for example) and uprated intercooler/chargecooler and turn the boodt up should do it :thumleft:

Forget about the flywheel figure. It's just an estimate by the dyno.

Wheel bhp is the figure you should look at.

I've seen two MR2s put out 300bhp at the flywheel before, yet one made 275 at the wheels, the other only 245.

Both cars could boast about having 300bhp, but at the end of the day, one is putting 30bhp more on to the road.

I bet if you put yours on another dyno, like a Dyno Dynamics dyno, you'll only get about 260 flywheel bhp but the same wheel bhp.

im still not convinced that you can safely run 15.5psi on a CT26 :?

thats like 50hp over reading....unless you have something you dont no about....like a ct26 hybird...large one at that.

a rev2 will run 300hp, but the 440 injectors will be running past the "safe" 80-85% duty cycle that mappers map to, i guess prob looking at 95%+ duty to get near 300...and that would have to be on a bigger turbo than a stock ct26 thats for sure...

with those mods, average is like 190-215atw, so 230-260flywheel....
olly, bare in mind, that 275atw and 300fly was probably taken at dastek?, they generally give good flywheel readings, but the wheel numbers can be hit or miss it seems...no idea why.

the most your really going to get out a stock ct26 mapped and everything is like 220atw (on a dyno dynamics style dyno)...thats 260-265ish hp....

look at my mod list to get 301hp, pmsl....

Yes I did get some boost creep and it peaked at about 19psi but the avcr is set to 1.15bar and last time on the rollers it held 1.12bar to the red line. I have seen it peak at 1.38bar!! amazed its still alive, just hit 300000km!

yeh but creep usually means creep to redline, thats where you make the power, so midrange may have held 1.15bar or whatever, but if your hp was at 6500 or whatever, and your hitting 19psi at 6500, then that power is at 19psi, not 16-17 where midrange was....
unless your talking about a boost spike?? where it hit 19psi quickly and died off to 16-17psi by redline...?

ps, ive boost to 1.4bar on my ct20b  oopss :eye:

ok, boost spike to 19psi, AVCR back it off, probably would have held it if I let it. Shall I change my garage to say 1.15 bar?

only commented thats it is possible to get 300bhp on standard rev2 fueling and now going on about my boost level not being correct.
