The gold insert is *exactly* the same as the standard silver insert, albeit [evidentally] gold in colour.
The purple insert is a lower frequency and the quietest version.

or you could take the insert out completely and get a different sound again.

Very strange, i have the SSQV 2, and the purple insert does not look the same as the ones in the pics??? can the SSQV 2 have a alternative fin?
