Hmmm, not looking too good again is it peeps... I too have double booked myself and won't be anywhere near the Wiggin Tree over the weekend...

Bill Hulme will be though. Jon and I were talking about the meeting last weekend at Tatton, I don't know what it is about that Sunday but it always seems to clash with something. It might be worth discussing a change of date when we all manage to get together again. Quite a few areas and different clubs have evening meets, especially through the Summer months. :thumleft:

Mr_Spanners wrote:'Fraid I can't make this one.... I've decided not to use the two until all the dampers have been replaced and I don't have any spare time (to do the job) until the end of the month.

Having discovered that the front dampers are completely shot and the car is riding purely on the springs I don't think it's worth risking it!!!

Will hopefully see you at the July meet with a car the rides\drives properly!!! :thumleft:

Don't blame you! I wouldn't want to drive that either after having felt how bad they were. Push the front down gently, release, and the car rocks like a see-saw. You could fit a metal strip to the chin spoiler and see how many sparks you can get under heavy braking.

Hope to see you at a subsequent meet!

Clashes always seem to be a problem with the summer meets but I think that is inevitable. Maybe a time adjustment during the summer months may be on the cards however it is nice meeting up in the sunshine when it has its hat on.

Well, it was hot and sunny so no excuse to be inside working! It was good to see old and some new faces! Including mine, we had four Mk1s and Bill in a Mx5.

Hopefully things are in motion to make this a more regular event.

...so nice to see peeps at the meet. Wish I could have been there since it was a glorious day however I went to watch the Renaults at Silverstone.

I'll make sure July's date is on the calendar even though it is the British GP that weekend!

Is anyone up for a jaunt to Gaydon on Sunday, it's Supercar Sunday and the mk1 club have free tickets for those who wish to attend.

It's a nice chilled day out, I went a few years ago and enjoyed it. Great to be able to have a wander round looking at some proper fast and expensive machines.

I think you also get free entry to the museum there too, here's the thread details:

Hope to see some of you there :)

I saw this and would love to go except I don't think I'll be flavour of the month if I do. I'm quite sure that I promised to convert the pile of plasterboard in the hall into a kitchen ceiling by the end of the weekend...

I previously posted that this month's meet clashed with the British GP but that was wrong. The GP is this weekend and I think the meet is next weekend! #-o
