[Mk2] [Turbo] Blitz nur spec flexi.

Post by omar-s »

Hi all im hoping someone can help. I have seen a blitz nur spec for sale supposed to be in good good condition but the flexi has started to blow.

Where could i get my hands on a flexi for it? I belive the tubing is 80mm and ive only found 76mm ones. any websites that people cud point me to?

Or can u get a replacement from blitz? or is that gonna be stupid money?

Cheers for your help.

I just had one on my Super Drager replaced by my local exhaust manufacturer. I think its quite a specialised job if you want to retain the correct angles etc. Cost me £80 all in but they did a great job. He said it would have been cheaper if I hadn't sweated for an hour getting the pipe off the car, as that meant he had to make up a jig. So much for saving myself some cash ](*,)

Hi mate,
Blitz can do you the flexi section only but at stupid money.
Jap spec can deliver the flexi for £42 :

which you'll need to get welded in.

I found that the best option is to contact a local exhaust specialist and ask how much for them to get part and weld it in for you.
I was quoted £80 by a place near me (that included him taking the exhaust off the car, if you just take the flexi section in it should be cheaper), and was booked in but the poor guys appendix burst 2 days before.

Alternatively, there was a guy on mr2oc website called Dude541, who was selling a complete flexi section for not much more money, that he had had specially made for the blitz nur spec.

Cheers.

As I said above - check that they want you to take the pipe off before you remove it. My local guy said it would have been cheaper if I'd left it on the car as they have to make up a jig if you take it off. If you leave it on they use a seam welder.

excellent. cheers guys for the replies. Hopefully i'll get this blitz exhaust. Im supprised no one does a blitz nurspec style exhaust. All i ever see are the dep pro style ones forsale. Not that theres anything wrong with them. I think if someone started to make blitz style replica exhaust theyd sell like hot cakes. Id buy one. lol
