Well, im certainly living up to my name

, had the builders in recently to re-render the side of the house, they finished after a couple of days, then didnt see them for a week or so while the rendering was drying.

Yesterday morning they arrived to paint the wall unnanounced while i was asleep after working the night shift, when i eventually woke up around 2pm i looked out of the window at my car to find a dust sheet over half of it, but no builders van, so i popped outside to take a look at the wall

& all seemed ok.

.

.

on walking past my car i noticed the back of it

was covered in millions on magnolia specks of paint

i was absolutely fuming so rang the company to complain, about 5 mins later the painter arrived, as he stepped out of his van i let him have both barrels

, he said that he had finished painting the wall stepped down the ladder

& noticed the paint on the car, so covered it with a dust sheet

DOH

!!!, he said it would wash off with car wash

& water, he also said he had managed to remove the paint from the front bonnet, i sent him off with a few choice swear words

& then took the car to the valleters, they washed it, but couldnt get it all off, but what pi$$ed me off more was that on closer inspection of the bonnet revealed that where there had been loose sand blown down onto the car from the wall, he hadnt bother to dust it off before getting a damp rag to the bonnet to remove the paint

& had left the bonnet with millions of scratches on it Grrrrr!!! so another call was made to the company responsible

& was told that the manager of works would contact me today, so this morning i went to a reputable bodyshop near me, they quoted

£500 inc VAT to mop

& polish the paintwork

& wax it afterwards, i got this in writing

& they manager eventually phoned me

& he was really good about it all, i explained that im off to LeMans in less than 10 days

& needed to get it all sorted before then, he fully understood

& said that as soon as the bodyshop faxes the written quote to him he can get the ball rolling

& would phone me tomorrow, the bodyshop said that the quote would be written

& with him by close of trading today or first thing in the morning.

.

.

what an absolute xxxx-up

, at this rate im gonna need a holiday just to get over the stress of getting the car ready for the holiday

just getting it off my chest guys

!, cheers, Jinxy
